I've played all Mario Kart games. I believe this is the second best Mario Kart game after the Gamecube one. There are so many characters and vehicle customization to choose from. Lots of racing maps and battle maps... There's just so many hours of packed fun into this little cartridge. You will never go wrong with buying Mario Kart. Everyone from young kids to grandparents can pick it up and have a great time.
Show off your personality when playing favorite Switch video games with this neon Nintendo Joy-Con controller. The small size lets you cradle it in your hand for maximum control, and the ergonomically designed buttons and analog stick reduce fatigue. This Nintendo Joy-Con controller contains a 525 mAh rechargeable battery for hours of play.
The Switch is a wonderful system. There are not many games to play but it has a unique charm to it. You can bring it anywhere you want and play it. It's well built and the screen is just right if you're traveling with it. You can hook it up to the TV and play on big screen. Just a heads up, the dock is poorly designed and takes up a lot of room if you're traveling. It also doesn't give the Switch a lot of room to breathe causing the Switch to heat up. You're going to have to take it off once in a while so that it doesn't overheat... Other than that, the Switch is definitely a console you want to own for the incredible exclusives that Nintendo creates. Hours of fun that you can take anywhere.
Immerse yourself in the world of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts when you play Persona 5. With exciting stories and a turn-based combat system, this RPG puts you in the middle of a new world. Featuring a spellbinding storyline complete with evil villains who must be thwarted, Persona 5 offers countless hours of gaming excitement.
Persona 5 is without a doubt the best RPG on the PS4. It will take you over 60+ hours to beat just the story mode. The story is very intriguing and the writing is very well done. The battle system is also very well done. This is the best game I have played so far on my PS4. Would highly recommend it, especially to those that enjoy RPGs.
Dive into the seedy underground of organized crime in Sega's Yakuza 0 standard edition for the PlayStation 4. Set in 1988 Japan, this third-person action adventure game puts you in the middle of a gang war between two mob families. Sega's Yakuza 0 is an open-world crime spree where you fight your way through the story at your own pace.
The Yakuza games have always had a special charm to them. This one is the best yet. You don't need to have played the previous ones. The story is incredibly deep with lots of twists that will keep you guessing. There are numerous side quests that are very well written. There will be tear jerking ones and there will also be ones that will have you howling with laughter. There's also so many activities to do. You can build and race model cars, sing karaoke, join an underground fight club, own a real estate business, etc... so many things to do! This is definitely must own game for any owner of a PS4.
Known for fast-paced combat systems, heart-wrenching story lines, immersive role-playing gameplay and stunning visuals, the Final Fantasy franchise has introduced an impressive array of timeless classics that span the past 25 years. So get ready to dive into the world of Spira and set off on epic adventures that truly epitomize what the Final Fantasy series is all about.Immerse yourself in the story of Tidus in Final Fantasy X. The star blitzball player is called upon for a noble purpose and sets off on a quest with Yuna, a beautiful young summoner, to take down the colossal menace, Sin, and finally halt a seemingly endless cycle of destruction. In Final Fantasy X-2, Yuna is now a High Summoner who travels the world of Spira with companions Rikku and Paine. On a hunt for spheres, she must unravel the mysteries of hidden messages — but what she doesn't know is that the answers she seeks hold the power to change everything. Experience both thrilling adventures in vibrant high-definition as you work to save Spira from an uncertain fate.
FFX is an amazing RPG. It's got an incredible story and a pretty deep battle and leveling system (if you choose the expert sphere). It is a fairly linear game unlike a lot of the other older Final Fantasy games but it's not constraining at all, and all areas are interesting and can be explored. You can tell the graphics are from an older game yet they've been updated to be fairly good. The voice acting could be better but is by no means bad. FFX-2 is good but not as amazing as FFX. It has a better battle system but the story is lacking, which is what drove FFX. You'll still enjoy this game if you haven't played it before and like RPGs.
If you have played it before or if you haven't played it before, I suggest you get FFX/X-2 HD Remaster just for FFX alone. It is an all time classic and a wonderful game that will keep you glued to the screen for many hours and entertain you in all kinds of ways.
Flex your soccer skills when you play Pro Evolution Soccer 2017. Adaptive AI works to understand your gamming strategies for better results, and the data-sharing capabilities let you share your teams with players from around the world. With total team control and natural player movement, Pro Evolution Soccer 2017 delivers a responsive gameplay experience.
I originally played PES all the way back on the PS2 days. I had moved on to FIFA and had owned the past 8 FIFA games and had decided to buy PES after excellent reviews from gaming websites. I was taken aback at how good this game really is. In this review, I'm comparing PES 2017 to FIFA 17 (Demo), FIFA 16, and the previous FIFA games.
GAMEPLAY: Let me just say one thing, PES 2017 blows away FIFA in terms of gameplay. There is so much depth in the gameplay. The players respond very well to your inputs and you can clearly tell a difference between a world-class player like Messi and a player playing in the lower divisions. It's fairly easy to do tricks and with the right timing you can slip through 2-3 defenders. It's by no means an easy thing to do, but it feels so good when you do it. The passing and crosses are very responsive and it feels good moving the ball around. Also, the movement of players on and off the ball is very well done. For example, if you drag a defender out of position, then an opposition player will take the opportunity and make a run into that opening. At the same time, another defender might try to cover that gap and open up space elsewhere. The movement of the game has a very natural feel to it. On FIFA, every match felt very similar and players would often make the same runs. On PES, the AI adapts to the tactics you use and you'll have to change up your tactics as the game progresses. Another thing that really stands out is the variety in goals you'll score. In FIFA I always felt like I could use the same tactic and score very similar goals. In PES, so far the goals have been a wide variety. On PES, I've scored from amazing one-time volleys to beautiful headers to tap-ins to scrambled mess lucky goals.
MODES: There's the regular exhibition matches, training, leagues, and tournaments that are present in every game soccer game nowadays. PES also has Master League, Become a Legend, and myClub. Master League is very well done. You can create a team from scratch, use an existing team, or a default Master League team. You can choose which country you want to start off in and try to work your way up to the top division of the country you choose, playing league and cup games as well as being able to qualify for the Champion's League and Europa League. You can buy and sell players. As the game progresses, players will develop different skills based on their training and how you use them in games. In Become a Legend you create your own player and work your way up from a bench warmer to a Legend. The myClub mode is similar to FIFA's Ultimate Team. You create your own team and through various achievements in the game, acquire game points which you can use to buy players or "gamble" by buying agents that will give you a chance of getting a specific type of player (for example, find players under 23 or players from Germany). You can even combine 3 agents to find a player under 23 from Germany that's a GK (as an example). With this mode, you can play offline and online as well as have it SIM online/offline matches based on your team chemistry and strength.
PRESENTATION: It's hard to determine which game has better graphics. Overall, I find the faces in PES are a lot better than in FIFA. Also, FIFA has a lot of licenses for the top leagues, whereas PES doesn't. However, you can easily find user created content and download it in your game. I bought it on release date and right away there was an option file that I download that fixed everything and even included the Bundesliga. So while FIFA has a lot of licenses, really, within about 30 minutes, you can have everything be perfect just as if it was licensed in PES. The one thing that FIFA clearly has better is the menus and the soundtrack. FIFA has cleaner and more elegant menus and is easier to navigate. Also, FIFA in general has a lot bigger soundtrack and a bigger variety in the type of music.
OVERALL: PES 2017 is the best soccer game to date. The gameplay is far beyond its competitor. It's easy to just pick up and play with friends, against the comp, or online. You can choose to just pick up and play, or you can get lost in all the different modes or the wonderful tactics/strategies at your disposal so you can truly master how to play the game. Whatever you choose, you will love this game. It's simply fantastic. I have been disappointed in FIFA in the recent years, especially after FIFA 16. PES has completely surprised me at how good it really is. When it comes to sports games, some of us just like to sit down and play a few matches and be done. With PES, you might find yourself lost into the beautiful, fluid gameplay and be surprised at how each match can play out differently and can always keep you on your toes, just like a real soccer match. This is, without a doubt, the best soccer game I have played in a very long time.
DOOM returns in this action-packed, adrenaline-pumping installment on your PlayStation 4. Developed by id Software, DOOM plunges you into exhilarating action and spine-tingling combat.Get ready to engage in thrilling, heart-racing combat with DOOM on PlayStation 4. Lock and load for hair-raising action-packed first-person shooter adventures. Blast through enemies in the epic single-player campaign, and battle it out against other players in the fast-paced competitive multiplayer. Are you ready to return to DOOM?
I'm just going to get straight into the meat of the game and put my conclusion at the end. There are 3 gameplay modes: Campaign, Multiplayer, SnapMap. Campaign and Multiplayer are self explanatory. In SnapMap you can create your own maps and play maps others have created. I'll give an overview of the positives and negatives, mostly of the campaign mode.
Positives: - fast paced action: constantly on the move, no aim down sights for most weapons, no reloading ammo, always sprinting, have to keep moving otherwise demons will overrun you - platforming is done right, it helps change the pace up and is fun - unique weapons each with 2 upgrade paths - secrets found through the levels (secrets include the ability to replay old Doom levels) - armor and runes upgrades which add more depth and abilities - codex which gives you lore and detailed information about the world and demons of Doom - story/setting is interesting and keeps you enticed the whole game moving you between Mars and HeII - campaign is long and took about 11 hours to beat (not including all the challenges and secrets to be found) - mission select - able to replay old missions and pick up missed collectibles and finish challenges - Multiplayer: lots of variety in skins, fast paced, can transform into a demon - SnapMap: has some amazing levels that people have created, easy to make your own level
Negatives: - bugs that prevent some challenges from being completed and some trophies from popping up (played on most recent patch 1.06) - lack of variety in demons - too fast paced for some (friends complained about making them dizzy) - indoor environments can sometimes become bland - Multiplayer: levels are bland, players are massive bullet sponges, unlocking skins is completely random - SnapMap: not enough variety in the pieces you can place, no outside environments
If you played the original Doom, you will love this classic reboot. If you haven't played the original Doom, then you will be in for a very tasty treat. This game is oozing with personality. If you are even slightly interested in single player FPS games, then YOU MUST pick this game up. I don't even play FPS games anymore but this game just reignited my enthusiasm for the genre. The multiplayer is fun although there are many games out there that do a better job but the campaign mode is where it is at. It will keep you hooked for days and even after you're done, you will find yourself wanting to replay the game. It's that good! If you have the time and money, then I suggest you invest in Doom, a game that will entertain you for many days.
