Is remote or HDTV programming needed after initial delivery
If you want to view in HD you need access from your provider for HD reception, HD is not always included in basic cable and satellite programming packages and it usually costs more. Also you will need HDMI cable to carry the signal to your HD TV

Do I need to buy a HDMI cable if the local cable service provider provides a HD signal already
yes and you need access to the HD signal from the cable provider, this is usually an additional charge and sometimes a different cable box, you should contact your cable provider to see exactly what you need to receive and process an HD signal
