Skip the Crosley! They are cheaply made, and the tonearm puts way to much weight on the needle/stylus, that can quickly ruin an LP. If you like your LP collection and want your vinyl to last, spend a little more and get the base Audio-Technica LP60 model turntable. It has everything you need to plug it into speakers or a receiver, without needing a phono preamp.
For speakers (without a reciever or amplifier), you will need powered speakers. Any computer speakers will do in a pinch, but for good sound quality, I recommend a set of Micca powered shelf speakers. They are very highly rated, very affordable, and sound as good as much higher priced speakers from JBL and Klipsch! The carbon fiber speaker cones also look cool with the covers removed!
