I want to buy an IPAD in the US for use in England. Are there converter's available to charge this device in England?
Get a Microsoft Surface 3 instead. But yes they have converters for basically any known tablet PC or electronic devices.

The Microsoft Surface 3 is great for students it's a full computer with windows 10 starting price is 500 but you can get on sale for 400 with 64gigs and expandable memory upto 128gigs. iPad 3G what can I do and not do
I have an iPad 3G I have yet to sign up for it. I'm not sure if I would need the $15 or $25 data plan. What is the difference between the two? What will I be able to do with the $15?
Data for tablet is expensive these days they don't give enough data. With at least the low 7 gigs of data you can do a decent amount of stuff watch videos browse Web . But you can also get phone hotpot and use the wifi features in tablet and get the lowest data plan if really needed just to check emails or browse Web quick for emergencies that would be like 2 gigs.

How long is the battery life?
In the spec sheet I don't see anything about how long the battery lasts.
Battery life can go upto a good 10 hours with moderate settings everything high around 6 or 5. Remember it's a full PC so you can adjust power saving features. It's a great tablet form PC .
PLUS YOU CAN BUY A slim POWER BATTERY PACK THAT USES Surface 3 micro USB slot !!! Surface has about a 7000mAh so a battery pack with 10,000 mAh would be good. It can be left in bag with surface while you travel.

Does the wireless support 5G band and speeds?
I want to know what type of wireless card is installed and if it will be able to run onf 5ghz band and get high speed downloads.
Yes it's a full computer with windows 10. It has an AC wifi component meaning you can use any high speed routers.
