Good song variety/Average soundstage

I bought this CD--COMING HOME--Kristen Chenoweth-- after having heard/seen the DVD performance on PBS on a plasma HD TV, and was impressed with the music and lyric content of the songs. I was somewhat disappointed with the CD, compared to the DVD, in that its soundstage was lacking in upfront presence of Kristen Chenoweth's voice on most of the tracks. I realize this may have been the result of recording a live performance versus recording the tracks for the CD in a studio. Nonetheless, Kristen's voice is unique and has great control.
