Poor Sony Customer Service

Television looks great, but had issues with streaming from Netflix, HBONOW, and Amazon video. I initially thought I had a network problem based on errors, but I have another Sony TV just like this one, model: 65XBR810C which has the same television platform version and app versions which can successfully play all streaming apps without issue. Not only that, no other devices have network problems in this house. Sony has advised the router is bad. I asked if it were to be replaced then what? The response "Your ISP would be the problem then". This is totally unacceptable!
My new 930D can play some streaming apps such as YouTube, Hulu, and a few other streaming apps, however Sony considers this to only be a network issue and refuses to troubleshoot it further. If this were network it is likely nothing would stream.
A quick google search will show this is a problem many others have had and no resolution. Sony was downright dismissive that this is working on a TV just like the one we are troubleshooting. If I were not a mid level enterprise network engineer the wool would be pulled over my eyes, however I am smarter than the average bear on this subject and these guys at Sony are not taking any responsibility. This TV is too expensive for that type of service. Stay away or buy a Roku to compliment your TVs native problems.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

No thanks

Thanks but no thanks. Sony service has done enough to destroy my desire for anything sony related. The TV looks great, but it's an electronic device subject to a problem and when something does not go right I expect decent service to remedy it. Sony did everything possible to string me along for 3 weeks troubleshooting this TV for 2-3 hours daily (I work from home so they took advantage). I checked into the customer service at a minimum of any brands I decided to look at to be sure I can escape such issues in the future.

Does anybody else have an issue with this tv glitching all the time? No matter what I watch, it glitches.

This TV is very glitchy. There is no other way to describe it. Video from streaming randomly stops, the app resets, menu's blink multiple times when you access them, the menu can be slow to respond and suddenly respond quickly through the steps you previously entered, some apps won't stream at all, etc.

This is not a great TV to operate. But, the picture is great! Choose your battles. If you deal with Sony in any capacity you will lose.

Here are a few photos of the issue I'm having. Meanwhile another Sony 65" TV XBR65810C, Apply TV, and every other device in my house with an app can play Netflix and HBONow just fine. This TV is garbage.
