The Simplisafe camera was easy to install, connect to my home WiFi, and then add to my existing Simplisafe service. The total installation time was about 15 minutes, including physical install, configuration of device, and connection to my Simplisafe mobile app.
The basic premise of someone approaching the door and the unit recording is convenient. I will need to adjust the sensitivity on the motion trigger since we have a flag hanging that has triggered a recording a couple times. There is a slight lag from when the doorbell rings until the alert hits the mobile app. The lag is acceptable though - no issue there.
The ability to press a button on the mobile app to talk is convenient. When I talk, the sound that the doorbell projects is surprisingly loud for such a small device. The ability to view activity via the Simplisafe web site is also convenient.
Like many people who got an early version of this unit, Simplisafe had to send a 'chime connector' to ensure compatibility with my existing home doorbell chime. This is the only thing that keeps me from giving a '5' rating. Simplisafe was very helpful in getting the chime connector delivered - and they indicate that the work-around is being built into all standard video doorbells going forward (meaning the additional chime connector component would no longer be needed)...

Within a matter of 10 minutes I was able to install and set up the Sengled hub unit, mobile app, and have working LED bulbs. The setup was very easy and the mobile app is very intuitive.
A general concern that I have had with LED bulbs is that the advertised wattage of an LED bulb does not correlate to the brightness (or the tone) of a traditional tungsten bulb. For instance, I've had issues in the past when purchasing say a 60W LED bulb and experiencing lighting that is more like a 100W tungsten bulb with a much harsher color tone.
With this unit, I can adjust the brightness and color tone / warmth of each bulb as I like it.

Once configured, you can simply flip the switch on a room light or turn the knob on a table lamp to turn the bulb on and off (like with any other bulb). You can then use the app to make any adjustments in the lighting as desired.
I have set the lighting to bright with a daylight tone for the office and to dim with a warm tone in the living room.
I like that this package gives me the ability to set up my lighting however I like it...

I've wanted a cordless vac for sometime, but had not made the move due to price and general uncertainty about how well one would work. Having a Shark corded vac already, this cordless unit was selected on the basis of my good previous experience with Shark.
My first impression was that the cordless vac was very quiet and it seemed that the suction may not be what I expected. One press of the 'turbo' button and that changed my impression. With turbo mode enabled, the suction was what I expected and it was more than adequate. The trick is that you need to press the turbo button for a 1-minute "burst" or you must continually hold down on the button.
I've been impressed with how well the vacuum cleans the multiple surfaces on our main level where we use it. Tile kitchen and dining floors, slate entry floor, wood living room and bedroom floors, and a couple of rugs of varying heights. It works well on all surfaces.
The ability to bend the handle to maneuver under furniture seemed a little wonky at first (wobbly), but it really does the trick. I farmed more dust bunnies in the first use than I realized existed under the end table, entertainment center, night stands, beds, etc.
I got 15 minutes with turbo mode engaged on the first battery -- and then swapped in the second battery to finish the entire main level. I also used the furniture attachment to clean the cold air returns and to remove pet hair from the bed in the guest room (sorry, guests).
We will definitely be using this vacuum to do general daily cleanup in a number of rooms. It is so much more convenient to do a quick - and thorough - vacuuming than it is to get out the broom, do a so-so job, and then push the dust around into a pan for removal.
I will be recommending this one to friends...

We've had a projection screen on the patio where we used to watch movies when the kids were younger. Each time I would need to haul out speakers and an amp that I would need to set up with the projector for sound.
This was an easy decision when seeing this Sonance outdoor unit. It mounted under the eaves perfectly and it only took a small hole to route the speaker wires through the exterior wall into the garage where I placed the base unit that came with the package.
I simply placed the base unit on a shelf inside the garage, connected the speaker wires, plugged it into an outlet, and then downloaded and used the Sonos mobile app to connect the base unit and to begin streaming music.
Using the app, it was very easy to connect my Amazon music account which I am now using to stream music.
The overall sound is good, the usability is great, and the speaker appearance is good (blends into the surroundings).
We definitely like this one and I definitely recommend it to anyone seeking some outdoor sound...

I got this for my son to use at college, thinking that the tablet / laptop combo feature would be valuable for classroom and at home use.
After using the unit for a few days, it has proven to be a solid laptop. The display quality stands out and it is a very good laptop to use for video streaming. The unit also has a very nice streamlined appearance.
It works well with Windows 10 and the Cortana feature seems to pick up my voice flawlessly.
While the screen is a very nice size and it is nearly an edge-to-edge display, if you try tilting the screen while streaming, the touch screen gets activated and the stream will pause. This is merely a nuisance.
The performance, memory, and disc capacity all seem appropriate with this unit. Overall this is a good performer and it seems well suited for a casual laptop user.

I recently installed this unit to replace our existing 4K receiver (Pioneer VSX-70). My main interest was in having a proper AV receiver through which I could run all of our video inputs while taking advantage of the latest features like Atmos. This Yamaha unit has not disappointed. There is no apparent video degradation when pushing all of the video sources through the unit (an issue that I had with my prior unit) and the interfaces are easy to use.
I did take advantage of the YPAO setup process - and it did seem to do a good job of adjusting the outputs to our living room's acoustics. Most notably, our ceiling-mounted rear speakers never seemed to be quite balanced in the prior system. That is no longer an issue with this unit.
In all, this system exceeds my expectations...

So far I have been very impressed with this unit, including the overall 360 degree view capability in addition to what is really great video stabilization. I tend to compare this to my experience with a GoPro for which I am already leaning towards the Rylo as my go-to portable video device.
I highly recommend this unit for those who are taking personal videos while in action...

This sound bar with wireless subwoofer is a nice addition to our basement living room where we did not want to go overboard with an extensive sound system. This LG sound bar matches well with our LG TV, but it could just as easily have worked with any other TV.
Installation is a breeze with just an optical cable needed to connect the sound bar and the TV -- and with the subwoofer connecting wirelessly.
While we are using it almost exclusively for the TV, I did pair it to my phone and have streamed music to it via Bluetooth.
The sound quality is decent. I used the remote control that came with it to bump the base a bit (I could have done the same with the mobile app that is used to link the sound bar to WiFi). Have not used with Chromecast yet.
I need to do a bit of investigating since every time that I turn the TV on, the sound bar fires up with volume at 7 (and the volume needs to be increased to hear it well). Would like for the "on volume" to be what I set it to when turning the TV off...

Right out of the box this did not require any assembly. You just slip the handle into the base unit and you are ready to go.
I really like the convenience of a cordless spin mop with the built-in cleaning fluid. I tried it out right away on hardwoods and it worked great there (I could also see using a floor polish with this unit on the hardwoods). It also worked well on the kitchen tile, even getting some difficult food splatters off the floor.
Like any cleaner with a cleaning pad, once the pads get a bit dirty, you start to push a bit of film around the floors. I chose to use the spare pads to make a final pass over the floor to account for this.

I bought this as the first piece of home automation -- for use to turn on and off a light with voice commands via integration with Alexa.
The installation went well, taking about 30 minutes for the physical install of the switch and another 15 minutes or so to install the app and configure it. The integration with Alexa took another 45 minutes or so due to some back-and-forth attempts to get the configuration correct so that I could switch the light using voice commands.
All works well now and I am liking it. There is a bit longer delay in waiting for the unit to respond to an Alexa command than I am used to on an Echo or Dot, but that is not a big deal.
So far, so good...
