I was trying to tidy up all of the cables and wires that I have in our home office, while still being able to use our surge protectors. The adapter blocks for some of the lower amperage devices we had would block outlets. Having these would have easily alleviated the problem, but I was able to find some that had more plugs per strand than these with 3. Not a bad product at all, but I found something that worked a little better to fit my needs.

I like having as much storage as possible. You can never have enough of it for all sorts of data, most importantly backups! While the WD Blue drives aren't quite as good as the Reds for NAS type storage, they are more than capable of handling general computer work load, especially since computer gaming isn't really my thing.

Little Learning, but Great

I had been looking to get a smart thermostat for quite some time and finally decided on the Nest. Once I got everything hooked up, it took a little time to figure everything out, but now it's working without a hitch. One issue was that we did not have a common wire on the old, cheap thermostat. When it is very cold out, the voltage doesn't seem to pick up on the wiring setup. I'm planning to eventually have a common wire run so that the power voltage is constant and that SHOULD fix the issue. Otherwise, I love being able to make adjustments from my phone, whether away from home or even from my bed without getting up.
