We put this antenna on top of a bookshelf on the lowest level and in the middle of our home. Despite that, it doesn't seem to have a problem picking up all the channels it should. We're definitely happier with this than the service provided by "basic" cable these days.

Being the first generation fitness band from Garmin, the vivofit band has surpassed my expectations. While it would be nice if the heart rate monitor were built in, having a built in screen with date/time, steps taken, steps to goal, distance and calories burned all available at a glance makes me a happy customer. I'm also excited about the Bluetooth functionality for syncing with my phone and only having to replace the battery once a year instead of charging it every few days.

Bought this printer on sale for $30 off, would not have regretted buying it at full price. It was super easy to get it set up on my WiFi network and it's so nice to have a laser printer instead of ink jet. Yes, it's only black & white, but if you want quality, color printing you should be using a photo printer or going to Kinko's.

Do you have to sync it to your phone? Does it use Data?
This is a present for my dad and he practically has no data every month for his phone (it's a wireless card he lives in the wilderness). Will syncing use his data and can he just use it without syncing to his phone?
This will be a great gift in that situation! The band comes with an ANT USB connector that you can use to sync it with your computer if you don't want to use it with your phone. The app uses data to sync your stats with your online profile, so for the user on limited data using the PC to update your records is the best way to go.
The band also functions by itself very well. I actually only sync mine once every few days, but still use it regularly to track steps taken, distance traveled and calories burned throughout the day. It's also been great as a watch!

How does it scan to a file?
When it scans to a file on a PC, does the PC have to be running Brother software to receive the data and write it to a file or can the printer independently just write to any folder shared on the network as provided by the operating system (e.g., Windows using SMB)?
The initial setup to allow the scanner to write to the PC does require the Brother software. It may be possible to scan to an FTP server without installing any software, though.
