I've been playing for about 3 hours now and I'm still amazed at how fantastic this game plays and looks.
I bought the Xbox One X just to play this game and I'm absolutely blown away by the visuals with the enhanced graphics and 4k resolution.
The game itself is very exciting right off the bat. The off-road/road/water/dirt/mud/snow/rain gives the game such a varied feel.
I feel like it's a good balance between arcade vs simulation. Total simulation games like Gran Turismo are awesome but they get boring for me after a while because it feels like more and more of the same. Also they can be difficult because you're trying to nail every single racing line perfectly and it takes away from the fun factor IMO.
If you want to mix things up or you have a One X, I would definitely recommend this. The graphics are absolutely stunning! I just wish it had a split screen mode so I could play with my son.

My review is from playing co-op campaign, online with my friend. I love online co-op games. There are tons of missions to do right from the start. Unlike Far-Cry 4 where you had to play the campaign for about an hour or more before you could co-op, this one let's you immediately. Gameplay is a cross between Ghost Recon (of the past), Splinter Cell and GTA.
It really does feel like GTA 5 but with less variety because it's mainly a shooter. You can upgrade skills, weapons tools buy doing various side missions.
The only real issue I have is it's kind of laggy in co-op. It makes the game frustrating when there are a lot of enemies and it's lagging.
As far as squad tactical shooters are concerned, Ghost Recon is still the best (IMO). Then again I don't really know of any others.

This was exactly what I was looking for. Something small for my bedroom that didn't need a complicated setup but still produced great sound. This bar gives virtual surround sound, not from stereo but from actual Dolby 5.1.
It beats the pants off of any built-in TV speaker and the dialogue is clear because of the voice enhancement function.
If your looking for theater like sound for a big living room with thunderous bass, this is probably not for you. But for this price range (especially on sale for $199 or less) this soundbar is hard to beat.

I bought the game "for my son" who is 6 years old. He can't put it down. It reminds me of the wonder and amazement I experienced while playing Mario 64 when I was a kid.
Nintendo is killin' it right now. Zelda BoTW was amazing and Odyssey is also fantastic. While BoTW was more realistic and the colors somewhat muted, Odyssey is bright, colorful and vivid. The worlds are very distinct in design. The occasional 2D platforming is a nostalgic nod to the past and helps to break up the gameplay style. So far it's not a very hard game so I think it might be geared more towards kids. This will, by no means, stop me from playing it.
One surprising feature is the ability to have 2 players play simultaneously. The second player gets to control the hat. The only thing that detracted from this was the joy cons lagging a lot and the camera angle is a big problem. The lag is a problem even when playing other games and needs to be addressed by Nintendo.
I would definitely recommend this title, it will join the other Marios in the gaming halls of fame.

Match shape-shifting wits against friends in Puyo Puyo Tetris for the Nintendo Switch. It combines everything you love about both puzzle games, and it ups the ante with a Swap mode that lets you switch between board styles. Race against the clock or add in special items to make game play more challenging in Puyo Puyo Tetris.

For the price you're getting a polished, multiplayer, puzzle game with quite a few modes. Multiplayer is very fun.
The only gripe I have about the game is in the Tetris & Puyo mode the Puyo gets way more points than Tetris. I'm better at Tetris but my opponent keeps winning because he's better at Puyo. The scoring is not even close, it's much easier to win if you're better at Puyo.
I still, absolutely, recommend the game because it's so much fun playing with friends and family.

Hands down, the best adventure game on 3DS right now. My son is 5 and played the mess out of this game for 2 weeks straight. Great gameplay.
Most of the same powers are back and some new ones. My only gripe would be that I wish there were more new powers and less older ones. I've played about 3 Kirby games and they've been recycling the same powers for years.
Being able to use mechs is what makes this game fun. The mech powers are not underpowered like most games. You can still get hurt but you can really do some damage.
If you like adventure games, it doesn't get much better than this. Getting some cubes might be a little challenging at times for children, but the game is still a blast.

Do I have to have speakers to enjoy the surround sound?
Do you mean extra speakers? No you don't and you can't really add speakers unless your going to use a receiver. This puts out virtual surround sound by using the 6 speakers that are in the main unit. It's basically meant to be experienced the way it is out of the box (after setup, of course).

What if I hook this up to a receiver with some additional surround speakers? Would it turn into a badass center speaker? And would sub still work?
You can use it as a center channel but not in the traditional sense, as there is no speaker wire connection. You'll have to use the 3.5 stereo jack. The sub is connected by Bluetooth to the main speaker but you don't really have control over any low frequency (LFE) settings.
