Four convicts released from prison go to Tomahawk Gap, where they had buried their stolen money, only to find that it has become a ghost town during their absence. They are unable to leave when Apaches surround the town, trapping them. Good cast. Taken from a good print.
The historical drama comes off a turgid bore. Filmed in CinemaScope it would have been a natural for widescreen televisions, but the picture has been re-formatted to fill the entire screen, thus lopping off a good portion of the sides. The cast includes Indian actors, such as Iron Eyes Cody, as well as non actors, and their story is presented fairly.
