Ok case but still worried about the glass

I bought this with the intention of keeping the profile slim but to be honest I went back to the Otterbox Defender because I know my phone will be protected.

Not sure if the problem is the tablet or the Verizon service but whatever it is this tablet performs at a level that I am totally dissatisfied with. When I go to the store they tell me it's the service and when I go to Verizon they tell me it's the tablet and they tell me I should have bought an IPad. You tell me what should I do ?
