Novel Light with Interesting Features

I'm already deeply attached to the Hue ecosystem, so it was easy to add in the Hue Go. It's currently being used as an adjunct light source in my daughter's closet. We've integrated it with SmartThings, so it turns on when the closet door is opened and off when closed again, both through the use of a SmartThings door sensor (sold separately). It also pairs well with a Hue remote--successive presses render different colors.
The light is a bit expensive for what it is, but it's nice to be able to use it unplugged. It's worth noting that it needs to be plugged in to be a part of the rest of the Hue system.
All in all, I'm happy with the purchase. It has a more specific niche than most other Hue products, but it's still a useful light.

A Very Scalable Home Control Solution

My first Wemo devices were this model and it's bulkier sister the Wemo Switch. When I had just a couple of devices, they worked great at that scale--you can easily put a device on a timer for extended away periods and still retain control during home periods.
Fast forward a couple of months, and now I really see the utility of these devices. I have several Wemo Light Switches installed throughout the house. The Wemo Mini (like the Switch) can be configured to toggle when another switch is long pressed. So, for instance, if you have a Wemo Light Switch in the bedroom and a Mini on a floor lamp, a short press of the light switch can toggle the overhead lights, and a long press can toggle the lamp. I am very pleased with the functionality.
Pair all that with good integration with Google Home and IFTTT, and you really have a killer device.

Underpowered Downlight

As I reach the conclusion of my home automation project (does it ever really end?), I know a great deal more than when I began. I saw this bulb on the shelf, and it was a few dollars less than the color A19s, so I bought it on a whim.
It is subject to the same limited color gamut as the earlier A19s, so it's limited in its greens and blues. It is the only color bulb in my daughter's room, so there's nothing for it to compare unfavorably with in view.
Also, the BR30 shape is a bit limiting. It casts very little light back toward the socket, and it has limited places it will fit. In my daughter's room, this bulb is in a desk lamp. It puts all the light above the shade, but it works very well as an accent light for her world map.
If I had it to do over, I would have spent the extra $5 and gotten an A19, but you live and learn. I'm mostly pleased with it, and it is nice to have a little color in there both for decor and for signaling.

Nifty Charging Solution

As you might expect, this disc does a good job at charging the compatible Galaxy devices. I am using the Note 5, and the pair works pretty well.
My handset has the flip cover case, and when it's inside the case, you have only about a centimeter or so freedom in which to line the two up (otherwise, no charging). It is nice, however, that the disc lights up when you've gotten it right, so you know.
It should be noted that their is a lot more line up freedom when the device isn't in a case. I don't know who isn't keeping that phone in a case, but for those brave souls, I'd give a fifth star.

What is the amp output of this charger? 2 amps? 2.something. Please include that on the specifications best buy.
I'm not 100% sure of the pure specification, but it charges at the speed of a 1-amp charger.
