Compare Shark Rotator and Shark Professional
Can you break down and simplify the differences (and pros and cons) of the Shark Professional Lift Away, like you can buy at Wal-Mart and the Shark - Rotator Powered Lift-Away XL Capacity HEPA Bagless Upright??
My strategy is to get a middle-of-the-line product, not the top of the line. I found the Shark Rotator (emerald) perfect for my needs, a 3000+ square ft home with about 2000 square feet of hard floor and throw rugs, and about 1000 square feet of carpet.
Most of the mid- and top-of-the-line vacuums, and even ones that cost $140, have HEPA filters and are bagless.
The emerald model has a smaller form factor and smaller dust bin, but has plenty of capacity for my needs. It is very easy to use, converts quickly to a canister and back to an upright, and even comes with a second upright head and microfiber pad for hard floors.
Bottom line: this Rotator is more than adequate, and you don't need the "seen on TV" Shark that comes with a "free" canister.
