Fantastic printer, with some negatives

I have now owned this printer/scanner/fax for a few months, and felt I had enough experience to finally provide a few thoughts on how I like it. I'll start first with the negatives, and then go to the positives.
Cons:
I was having some trouble with the initial install of the printer. The directions asked me to use the USB cable to connect the first time around. Unfortunately, this did not work for me (for some reason, the computer was not detecting the printer during the install). After much troubleshooting, I finally got it to work by unplugging the USB and using the printer to detect the computer (rather than the other way around). I'm not sure why this worked, but it did.
Another issue I noticed dealt with the manual feeder in the front. It takes several tries before I can finally get the feeder to attach itself to the paper correctly without giving me a "paper jam" message (even after I follow its directions to use both hands to push it through the feeder). This happened each time I used the feeder, and eventually settled with sticking the paper in the bottom tray instead.
I was really disappointed to realize that this printer was not an automatic double-sided printer (which was the main reason why I opted to purchase it in the first place... the Best Buy associate told me it was). Apparently, it was only "double-sided" if I printed manually (in which case, refer to the aforementioned "manual feeder" problems above). By the time I realized this, it would have been too much hassle to re-package the heavy printer and bring it back to the store.
It would have been nice to have an ethernet connection option. I don't seem to have issues with the wireless connectivity (though I have read that others have); but I would have liked to have that option of a direct plug-in in case there were problems.
Pros:
Probably my favorite feature of this device is the scanner. Compared with my old printer, this device scans material quickly and pretty easily. The software for this device is also pretty simple to use, so I don't have much trouble turning a document into a readable PDF, for example. If I am scanning paper documents, the feeder works really well (although, it did glitch once). If I am scanning books, I can get a copy of a chapter in a decent amount of time (it was definitely a lot faster than my inkjet scanner).
The second favorite feature is the copier. Although some copy jobs turn out a little darker than I'd like, I can get things to look OK after toggling with the touch screen to change the contrast, brightness, etc. When copying documents, the feeder on top, again works really well, and really fast.
Compared with my old inkjet, this printer is fantastic. The print quality is clean, crisp, and very clear. This, I believe is expected from a Brother device. As much as I dislike that this does not print double-sided, it is actually pretty simple to first print all the even numbered pages first, place it back in the bottom tray (face up & with bottom of page going in first), and then print the odd numbered pages. It is a little inconvenient, but at least it saves paper.
Overall, I am very happy with this device. There was a bit of a learning curve in the beginning (especially going from an inkjet to a laser), but I think it's worth it for the scanner/copier, and the higher-quality print jobs.
If you are still not sure of whether to get an inkjet or laser, I would say that it's important to consider some of the long-term costs. The print quality is much better with a laser printer, and the costs may not be as frequent when it comes to purchasing inkjet cartridges. But replacements for lasers, while not as frequent, can be much more costly (multiple toner cartridges, drum replacement, belt unit).

Love it, but it has glitches

I have had my Surface Pro for about 6 weeks now, and I have to say that I really love it, and would buy it all over again. However, I have had a few problems with it, which is why I'm giving it the 4 stars. The device I currently have is not the one I bought in Best Buy. I had that one for over a month, and ran into numerous problems and glitches - Here's a list of some of the issues I had:
- Every once in a while certain functions would stop working. For example, the keyboard stopped working. I had to unplug it from the tablet, and then reattach it to get it going again. The OneNote button didn't work another time. I had to reboot the device to get it to work.
- For a while the device would not turn on after being in "sleep" mode. The keyboard would light up, but the device wouldn't work. It was only after doing a reboot (pushing the "on" button for 30 seconds) that the device would work again.
- When in sleep mode, the computer would not really "sleep." Instead, it would heat up, and by the next morning, my battery would be almost dead or dead.
- After some searching, it seems Windows Hello was a source of some of the problems I was experiencing. However, I loved the feature so much (It was annoying having to put in a password or pin to log in) that I just got into a habit of turning the computer off.
The biggest problem occurred when I purchased a micro-SD card. When I put it in, the card would not read. Originally I thought it was a compatibility issue; but I was able to contact Microsoft Online support, and, to make a long story short, they determined that my device had a hardware issue. I was sent a new device within a week (I sent my defective one back to them). I was *very* satisfied with the way Microsoft tech support handled my problem. Their online support (I used the chat) was very accessible and very helpful.
My current Surface Pro also has a few glitches as well... The Pen sometimes does not work after coming out of sleep mode, and I have to detach and re-attach the keyboard sometimes to get it working as well.
However, even with these problems, I have to say that I *really* love the computer, and I would probably consider my problems to be minor compared with the benefits I receive from having it. I am a fan of Windows Hello, and hope/expect that Microsoft will be able to resolve the glitches eventually. The pen is fantastic, and I use it regularly in OneNote. The computer is incredibly mobile, and I can do anything on this device that I would do on a normal computer, which is a big plus. I also got the Wireless Display Adapter, which projects my computer easily to my TV screen.
Overall, I would recommend this to a friend. As I said earlier, I'm only giving it 4 stars because of those issues I mentioned earlier. However, the problems do not detract from the fact that I would buy this again, even knowing what I know now about its problems.

Will this print on card stock? Like for business cards or greating cards?

Yes, it will. You have to use the manual feeder, and open up the back flap of the printer (otherwise the card stock printout will turn out really curly). The card stock will go through and come out on the other side. There are switches you can use in the back to adjust, depending on the thickness of the card stock.

What is the real price?

Best Buy sent me an email saying this printer is $249.99, which is a decent price and in line with what others are charging for the same unit. However when I click on the link to see it on your website it's "on sale" for $329.99. I'm interested at the $249.99 price, however there are far more reasonable options for $330.
Best Buy does have a price matching policy. If you find the printer for the $249.99 price on Amazon, Fry's, or someplace else, they will sell it to you for the cheaper price.
