I bought this to replace a Lenovo which suddenly lost use of USB ports and external video. I use it for business, so that was a deal breaker. The specs speak for themselves. The picture quality is excellent. I connect to a Samsung HDTV as a second screen and the HP is better. Decent sound quality. Battery life is very good as well. I can easily go more than half a day of dedicated work without plugging in. It also retains charge while closed and not in use. If you buy this for home use, it will likely last all day. I hope it will stand the test of time, but for now I highly recommend.

It has been awhile since I used an external drive. In the past I couldn't import into iTunes with one. This works just fine for that purpose. Picture quality is great in combination with HP laptop. Software is included, so don't forget to install. Otherwise you will go on a hunt for paid apps.
