Best Freezer we ever owned

We needed a larger freezer due to the fact that our 8 cubic foot did not let us store all the goodies from our garden and good deals we found at local markets and stores.

I bought this freezer over 6 weeks ago and am happy with the quiteness when operating and how fast it freezes products put in for storage. I also like the safety feature it will sound alarm when and/if Temperatues rises above certain level to prevent spoilage if unit ever did have malfunction.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Baskets too small

The three baskets inside the freezer are too small and fall down inside the freezer. We contacted the dealer who ordered three more baskets from Whirlpool but they also were too small. The dealer is still trying to come up with a solution for us.

Okay for price

Pros: It runs quiet and cool on the outside. Nice and roomy inside.Cons: The baskets are horrible. They are too short and they fall in. I hope the manufacture replaces them at no charge. Temp and Alarm controls are located on the lower side towards the back.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I replaced two old costly freezers with this large capacity chest freezer. It has a light, an on indicator light, sliding baskets which make for easy access to food on the bottom. It also has rounded corners inside for easy spill cleanup! Uses less than half the electricity that the TWO older freezers used!

Needs better baskets

Overall, the freezer is wonderful. However, the baskets that hang from the upper ledge of the freezer fall off of the ledge all of the time especially when the basket is over half full. The rim of the baskets that is suppose to sit on the ledge needs to be longer so that they don't slip off of the ledge. Otherwise we have had no problems with the freezer.
