Love the range

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this range. Not only does it cook great but it looks great. I love the bisque color. I am glad to see that GE is still offering this color. The glass top is easy to clean. The reviews are also great on the Profile series. I would definitely buy it again.

I have had wonderful results in cleaning the stove top. I learned to let it rest while I have dinner and when it is cool shine it with the cleaner provided. It restores the shine like it has never been used. The trick is to clean it before you use the range again. Use pots that sit flat on the cook top. No worries!

This range is the color we needed and, although I originally thought it would be a disaster to keep the cooking surface clean, I quickly found out it was just the opposite. I've had it for eight months and it looks like new. The Ceramabrite GE gives you with your range purchase cleans the cooking surface perfectly. The convection oven feature is a big bonus. I never had a range with a convection oven so I really didn't care if it was a feature or not, and it is really helpful. The fact that the knobs come off to clean is quite useful. I've also used the Proof feature to raise bread in the oven and that worked quite well. It looks very handsome in my kitchen, too. I am fully satisfied with my range.

While remodeling my kitchen, I had to part with a 35-yr-old glass top/microwave combo. I needed to have both the new microwave and the new stove to be bisque not only to match the frig and the dishwasher (different mfg), but to also match my existing cabinets. Additionally, I absolutely abhor the stainless and the black looks everyone else has, so was pleased to find GE still had a compatible bisque color. Aesthetically, these are perfect.
But, (oh darn), I just had to purchase a brand new set of completely flat-bottom cookware since my antique copper-bottom set was not compatible with the glass stove top. I want to keep this glass top stove in perfect condition for as long as I can, so I just had to do the whole remodel justice! I'm loving every minute with my new purchases. I didn't realize what I was missing.
I'm still working on the remodel, but with the sawdust and construction mess, I haven't put the oven through its paces yet but have plans to give it a thorough workout for my family and friends during the holidays.
