Great idea, failed to execute

I was thrilled to find a filtration system with glass container. Assembled it upon receipt and water literally poured around the threading of the filter where it screws into the water trough. Returned it for a replacement, and the second did the exact same thing. Not ever sure why this is a product they sell, cannot possibly be quality tested. Hope they do figure out how to fit a filter some day--that's literally the product, after all. The glass canister is a stellar idea and much needed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for contacting ZeroWater. Apologies for the issue with the filter. Please try removing the filter, drying off the threaded area of the filter with a paper towel, then reinstalling, giving the filter one more hard twist the the right to complete the seal.

I preordered this so I could put it on the counter for room temp water, it has been great. I f I was going to change anything it would be the spigot placement at it's present location it leaves a lot of water in the container when the level drops below the spigot.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Poor design

I bought this product at Bed, Bath and Beyond. I was using a Ready-Pour model for many years and was tempted by the clean look of the glass dispenser. On the shelf is looks great. However, I have a few comments on the design flaws.
1) It ended up too high for my countertop. With the metal ring stand, it does not fit under the cabinet, with a standard distance between the counter and the cabinet.. I had to remove the ring and just put the glass dispenser straight on the counter. The metal ring is way too high. It is meant as a support to rest the glass dispenser on, but for that purpose just a 1.5 inch ring would have been sufficient, just to nest the dispenser comfortably. Seems like an unnecessary waste of metal and it makes the overall product way too high and bulky.
2) The top white plastic reservoir where you pour the water sits on the rim of the glass dispenser very tightly and that creates a vacuum when you dispense. No air is getting inside and the water flow becomes very weak. You have to lift the reservoir and then the water flow resumes. I ended up using a filer/tiny drill to make indents in the edges of the reservoir. Now it flows well.
3) The spout/faucet is made of plastic covered with silver paint. Looks and feels very cheap. The coat of paint rubbed off almost immediately where the handle is moving on it, and now the white plastic underneath is visible. Looks worn out and unsightly.
4) The top metal lid is also another waste of metal. It is bulky and looks like a beret hat with a pompom. A more sleek contemporary look would have been much better. But at least the dispenser fits under the cabinet with the lid. Otherwise, I would be looking for a different lid.

The glass dispenser itself still looks good, just because it's clean glass. But the design could be greatly improved. If you ever revise the design, send me a free upgrade - I have been a loyal customer for many years :)

This is a great glass dispenser!

I bought this right when it came out years ago and have been using it ever since the five to ten years ago! It is the only dispenser that makes sense to me in that I drink lots of water per day.

Good filter poor design

Great filter but container needs improvement. Would like the base to be higher and the spigot lower=at bottom of jar to get more water out. Also needs a stainless piece. And the base could be quite nicer looking. The concept is what I am looking for but better design, quality, base look.

Best water filter pitcher out there!

Recently bought this to replace another popular brand of water filter pitchers.
Aside from the fact that it does what it says, I really like the education side of the product. There is plenty of information available about why you should filter your water and the water quality meter is a nice addition that helps you understand water quality. Other brands don't do this and just expect you to trust what they do. I have always been skeptical about how well these water filtration systems actually work but this backs up what it says. As a coffee drinker this also improves the coffee quality. It really helps to make the flavor of the coffee shine.
Aside from the fact that it does what it says, I really like the education side of the product. Great tasting

Purchased pitcher when pandemic came figured stores would run out and also my wife and I are very into recycling so at that time decided not to buy bottled water anymore and to my amazement I started giving water from pitcher to our dogs now they won’t drink any other water they actually will let me by looking at me to let me know they need water or when they see me bringing the pitcher to their bowl they will gobble it up I think animals know more than we do
