WOW way better than R/O

Had this 40 cupper about a week. Crummy Indianapolis water has a TDS of over 400 so I'll probably be changing the filter about every 10 days or so. Better than Berkey because you can see the water. Hope they offer replacement baskets in case I strip one out..

Strong plastic smell from water filter holder

I love the idea, but the plastic that holds the filter has a very strong scent, and it made the water taste like plastic. We tried soaking it in baking soda but couldn't get the smell to go away. Therefore we returned this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I switched to Zero Water a few years ago and now have a small one that I deep in the fridge and this large one for drinking as well as filtered water for my coffee maker. Love it.

I'm overall pretty happy with the water unit. Love the size and the fact that it's glass. My one issue is the nozzle dispenser which is a flimsy plastic. When we installed it and opened it to dispense the water, the pressure made the dispenser rotate. We've tried a number of different things to stabilize it (just tightening it was not enough), and we were afraid too much pressure/tightening would cause it to break. We know that we need to be extremely careful when dispensing the water, but are worried when our grandchildren attempt to use it. Truly feel it's just a matter of time before it breaks off altogether. Perhaps you could use a stronger plastic or some other material in future nozzles. Would have given it a 5 star rating if not for this issue.
