The filter works great and this is some of the best tasting water I've had in my life. It works exactly as advertised with the TDS in my tap water going from 360 to 0.0. Unfortunately, the 40 cup glass container that came with it leaked all over the place. The silicone gaskets included with the system were way too large for the spigot and could not seal correctly. I contacted customer service and they sent a replacement right away....the replacement spigot had the exact same gaskets as the first, so that didn't actually help anything. I ended up finding the correct size of food safe silicone gaskets elsewhere online, and they get the job done. A full month after I received my Zero Water filtration system I am actually able to use it. Other than the shoddy design of the dispenser I'm pleased with the purchase and would recommend Zero Water.

I'm very disappointed

I am disappointed with the Glass dispenser unit. I don't know if the other types of units have the same issue but I have used 4 filters so far. 2 of the 4 (50%) have leaked, despite being screwed on properly and the seal being flush. I contacted them with the first one, they sent me a replacement but if I have to replace 50% of my filters, that is a lot of my time wasted. Also, I guess my water must have a lot of particulates. The filters have only lasted around a week for me. It is just me using it so it isn't that many gallons over the time period. It is a lot of money per week. If I could return it, I think I would.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We have ordered a couple extra filters to be sent to you for the seal issue, this is not the norm for our filters and actually happens fairly rarely. The life of the filter can be short if you live an area that has extremely high contaminant levels. If the TDS meter reads around 400ppm from your tap water the life of the filter will only be 6 to 8 gallons per filter.

I really love this water filter. I drink A LoT of water each day so the size is perfect! Having a glass dispenser looks so much nice than the plastic ones ive had.
The reason it doesnt have 5 stars is the spigot. Its absolutely terrible and you will need to buy a new one. Just do it the day you buy this filter because it was incredibly disappointing to put it all together and to have water leak all over the counter numerous times.
Also, there was not tracking info emailed.

Overall, I like the dispenser. The issue we have with it is it is too tall to fit under the upper cabinets, and the base is too short to put a meaningful receptacle under the spout. The flow of water is a bit slower than I would desire. The last comment is that since it uses the same filter element as the smaller dispensers, it is taking a while to get used to how fast it is depleted with the larger capacity of this dispenser.

Great concept, TERRIBLE water spigot

Bought this last month and I love the look and size of it but upon assembling I had my concerns about the quality of the spigot and the rubber gaskets that hold it in place but I didn’t replace it, like I should have. Just woke up this morning to water EVERYWHERE in my kitchen bc it’s been dripping all night. Now I have to buy a replacement spigot and hope it doesn’t happen again. Unless you like to live dangerously, maybe just consider one of the plain Jane looking zero water dispensers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Slight room for improvement

I've had the glass carafe for a few years now and there are a couple of changes that would improve the product. What I love is that the glass is heavy and is holding up well. the pedestal and lid are also great products and holding up over years of daily use. what I don't like is the filter holder - the plastic scratches pretty easily and the plastic liner has a lip inside that tends to collect mold. I've also had the occasional issue with the filter not wanting to seal. I wish there were a stainless steel option for this liner. Finally, why create a lovely item and use a cheap plastic spigot located as it is. It's loo high and tends to make it a challenge when it's time to clean it because it's a few pounds heavier with all that water in the bottom. That said, it's still a very good item.
