Love it and hate it

It looks and work’s beautiful but the spout is the worst part it’s too high up so you can’t get a lot of water out and it’s made of plastic so defeats the purpose of having a all glass container
I would recommend this to a friend!
Response from zerowater.comBy ZeroWater TeamMay 2, 2023
The glass container is meant to be filled continuously, thus making the water beneath the spigot irrelevant. Once the water tests above the 006ppm mark simply empty the entire container into your sink then rinse, dry, and replace the filter.

Bought because of the glass, the design is meh

Purchased this a few months ago. The only thing I like is the fact that it's glass. The spigot is shedding silver paint and looks unsightly. It's located at some height so that the water never reaches bottom. With the lid which resembles a French beret and with the bulky metal base the whole thing is very tall. The metal base resembles a pet bowl. The lid is too tight so there is condensation inside and there is no air to allow some circulation. I had to file away a little bit of plastic off the top of the plastic basin to let the air in. Wish there was something sleek, contemporary, and without these annoying drawbacks.

When water turns bad
on May 28, 2023

Length of ownership:1 year or longer
We’ve had our unit for many years. We haven’t used it for many years. In the beginning it was great. We changed out filters as indicated. The first time we tasted the bad water I thought I’d vomit. We cleaned the unit as indicated and replaced the filters but the water would quickly go bad. It’s not just the readings were high. The water actually tasted putrid. We stopped using it and it’s sat in our basement for years. Now we are offering it on a local free site. I wish we had figured out the reason for the change in the unit.

Thank you for contacting ZeroWater. After Zero Water filters have been exhausted and have not been changed, the water produced from the filter may have a distinct smell or taste and the TDS reading may be higher than your tap water. This is a result of the water passing over the “spent” Ion Exchange Resin beads. We have gone to great lengths in reducing that taste/smell in product development however this is simply a characteristic of filtering water with a Dual-Ion Exchange system.

In order to avoid a change in the taste of the water it is important to test the water regularly and change the filter when the digital meter reads 006.

If are experiencing a drastic change in the life of the filter this could be caused be a change in your location or a change in the quality your local tap water.

We would be happy to discuss this matter further with you at any time, you can reach us at 1-800-503-2939.

Actually Works - great tasting water

I like this filter a lot, it’s holding enough to let me fill my 32oz bottle at least 7 times. The downside is that the spout it comes with is garbage, (it’s very slow) do yourself a favor and order a different spout for dispensing!

Leaky spout
on July 7, 2023

I had read the reviews about the spout leaking. I replaced gaskets with tighter fitting ones but still leaks just not as bad. Needs to be improved and a metal spout added instead of the plastic. For what was paid you should not have to tweak the dispenser.

Glad its glass but still has some challenges

While I love that the holding container is made of glass instead of plastic the construction does have a few flaws. First he height of the spout leaves so much of the water remaining without tipping the whole thing and it is rather cumbersome to do that and not have things slide around. The next flaw is that spout does not pour very fast, so if you are trying to fill a larger tumbler for the day it takes longer than other models. Lastly the height makes it difficult to have on your kitchen counter and still be able to remove the lid and fill. If the base was different the item could be shorter and fit better all around.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We appreciate your feedback on the glass dispenser. A couple of quick to note, the glass container is meant to be filled continuously, thus making the water beneath the spigot irrelevant. Once the water tests above the 006ppm mark simply empty the entire container into your sink then rinse, dry, and replace the filter. Also, the base is optional, you do not have to have the base setting beneath the glass container it is quite stable with out the base. In this type of use you simply need to have the spigot hanging over the edge of your counter.

QUALITY PRODUCT

This product was easy to put together. The design is nice. Fit in to my existing water dispenser. This unit has been used by one person for an entire month and the TDS test reading was still at 000! My residential water runs over 400 TDS, so the filters are of high quality! The only issue with this product is the capacity. I am only able to put 3 gallons in at a time. There is a maximum water level on the tank. This maximum water level only allows for 3 gallons to be available for use. Disregarding this guideline would allow the container to hold 5 gallons.
