Purchased Oct 2014 and still loving my new appliance. Still learning some of the features, but it's very efficient and love damp dry sensor.

We got this dryer a while back when our old one broke, and this one has been working great! It easily handles even large loads, and my wife raves about the damp dry feature that signals at the perfect time to pull out clothes that hang dry!

LARGE CAPACITY

I really like this unit because it is one of the largest dryers on the market, I like the check vent feature, because after installation, I became aware that my vent in the house was plugged up , not at the unit and wall , but all the way up to the roof , were the vent leaves the house. I had to professionally have the vent cleaned.the machine has many positive features , the only negative comment I have is that the sensor on the machine will sometimes stop before all the load is dry. Some items are still moist, and must be put in the machine again for another 5 to 10 minutes.

We purchased the whirlpool platinum washer and dryer a couple of months ago. I love being able to wash bigger items or larger loads and is very quiet. The one draw back is that without the agitator it doesn't seem to clean as good as my previous washer.

Perfect for our household needs

My husband is an engineer, so naturally he spent weeks looking for the perfect dryer for a price we were willing to pay. I initially wanted one to match the make and model of the washer that we had a few months before but I am so happy with The Whirlpool Cabrio Platinum. It dries clothes really fast and though cycles are timed, it will be adjusted according to the moisture in the load. The time is almost always decreased by 10-15 minutes and clothes come out completely dry. Now I can do loads twice as fast and that makes laundry day much less daunting.

I bought the matching washer and dryer. The reviews I read were pretty positive. I am not thrilled with my purchase. Don't know if it's just me or other people have had this problem but my dryer stinks and makes my clothes smell funny. I even put in several dryer sheets but it has not helped. Not impressed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We made our purchase based on my knowing that Whirlpool is a trusted name. When I was in high school my father and my uncle had purchased an appliance store in Fullerton and named it Fullerton Appliance . They sold only two brands of washer and dryers , one of them being Whirlpool . And I am glad to say that Whirlpool is as good as it was when I was installing them back in the 60's & 70's , you get no complaints from me , thank you .
