After several days of reading specs, reviews, comparing price vs specs we purchased the Whirlpool WED8000BW dryer. The new Whirlpool replaces a Whirlpool dryer purchased many years ago (and, still working in the laundry room of a relative). Simply put, the new machine drys cloths twice as fast, carries a larger load, is very quite and its intuitively designed panel permits me the opportunity to dry laundry without fear of wife reprisal.:) Whirlpool has never let us down. Accordingly, I suspect our new dryer will dry laundry much longer than I will.
