Brother MFC-J630W Printer

Great printer. Easy to set up. Print cartridges install in front and clean entire ink system to assure high quality print jobs. Front load paper tray includes photo bypass tray for 4x6 prints. Excellent print, photo, scan and copy quality. My 7th grader is getting right into the Creative Center feature which is used for creating your own greeting cards, scrapbooking, posters, school projects, etc. The 15 page document feeder allows you to continue working as opposed to hand feeding one page at a time. Prints, copy, scan, fax faster than comparison models from other manufacturers. Super low energy mode when printer is not in use or forgot to turn off. Black or Color Ink select. View Ink level on LCD screen. The cost of ink is affordable, so far I have only used 1/3 of my cartridges but the volumn appears to be high compared to my last printer. The large 3.3" LCD Screen flips up for easy viewing while editing your jobs. The 2 year limited warranty beats out the 1 year offered by most competetors offering comparable models including larger printers. When I purchased equipment for my home State I heard positive feedback on Brother equipment. I decided to give Brother a try for home use. I upgraded two models for a very reasonable $30 price difference. I must say it was an excellent choice to select Brother and the upgrade. Try one my Brother from another mother, you won't be sorry.

Just what I was looking for.

I really do not have faith in "wireless" items, but this was truly the easiest thing to install and connect to all my computers in the house with only one cord coming out of it. The quality is just what we were looking for we would and have told everyone how happy we are and they have gone out to shop for one.

Almost everything is great...

This machine is great in intial set-up, use both hard wired and for wireless printing, one-sided print jobs, copies, scans, and faxes. Does photos okay, but have not printed enough to trully evaluate.
Major draw-back is the unit's difficulty in two-sided printing. There are no instructions or prompts on two-sided printing either in the user's guide or on the print screens--you have to go on the Brother "Help" line and follow their instructions on 2-sided printing--it's possible, but very cumbersome (print reverse odd pages, then forward even pages--you gotta be kidding!).

Just the BEST.

I decided to try this brand, and believe me is the best, previously I used Canon, Lexmark and HP, but with this I am more than happy, the ink is forever, the print quality is excellent, love that is wireless, not going to change brand anymore. I've been using it for 7 months.

Excellent Product

My husband gave me this printer as a Christmas gift. It was very easy to set up. It prints exceptionally fast. It prints from a distance. It has the extra print tray area for loading 4x6 photo paper. It is overall a great printer. My husband is a comparison shopper , he chose this printer for the best features, and I am happy with it. I would recommend this printer.

Excellent choice

I bought this printer about 3 weeks ago, and absolutely love it! Setup was about 1 hour, which included connection to my wireless network, and the setup of three laptops. The noise level is good, print quality is great. The MFC-J630w offers a lot of bang for the buck. We are replacing a 15 year old Brother copier/fax machine only because we wanted to go wireless. I would buy Brother any day!

Best Printer I Ever Had

The best and only printer I will ever have!!! It is whisper quiet compared to other printers. Very Fast and it is very easy on the ink. love the ink save mode and ALL the features!!! Ink cost is the lowest I have seen. Price can't be beat.

I bought the printer about a year ago. The printer works great except it seems to go through ink cartridges fast. Even though they have three color and one black I end up buying new cartridges every couple of months.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
