Original phone had to be replaced because the back button didn't work.
Next phone worked fine after firmware update.
After a popular game was installed plus a fitness app, the phone started saying the memory was low. After deleting the game, the phone needed to be turned off and back on to reset the available memory. When moving apps to SD, the biggest part of the app stays on the phone. There is a big memory problem with only 100mb on the phone.

Not the best phone

Half of the applications I never used on the phone and you cannot uninstall any of them. Then It constantly wants you to update them and it just eats your memory. I dropped phone calls all the time. I did like the drop down keyboard, made it easy to text.
Pros: easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What a waste!

This phone is Always out of memory space. I have to delete photos and apps just to be able to send a text. Ive had to replace the touch screen twice & it still doesn't work. Letters on the keyboard either stick or just won't work at all. Do Not buy this phone! I cant get rid of it fast enough!

Great phone

I have had this phone for almost 2 years and it's wonderful. I love it, I almost don't want to upgrade when I am eligible this year. Battery life is great, standby battery life is about 3-4 days for me and about 2 days if I play a lot of games or use the web. This was my first smart phone and it was super easy to learn to use. LG makes good phones, my past 4 phones have been LG and when I am eligible for an upgrade from this one, my 5th one will also be an LG. I have yet to have a negative experience with LG's products, so please keep up the high quality work LG!

i have had this phone for abot 2 years.it has taken some falls and throws its real tough.it takes great pics too.but this morning i went to check the time on my phone and it would not turn on.i thought it was probably dead but when i plugged it up it it didnt do anything. i triedpressing all kinds of buttons but nothing. im going to have to get a new one

A solid phone

Very good keyboard, takes a bit of time to get used to the OS, but still much better than the Blackberry. Phone is fantastic, LG did a great job.
The rest is not LG's fault . ok a little, not much documentation on best way to install music files, but figured it out, as long as file's not protected, it's a simple drop and click, but the quality of the sound is almost up to par with the Ipod touch, just not quite, sounds fine with headphones, not so fine when porting into your car stereo.
That aside, I love this phone, and the apps (many of them free), are solid for the most part (read comments before downloading).
Pros: easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

LOVE LG

I love my LG Ally. Just like my previous LG phones, it is well engineered, user friendly and TOUGH! I have NEVER had any problem w any LG phone (and i dropped one in a sink full of dishwater and i drove over another with my car). LOVE their products!

for the money it's a great beginner Android based phone. camera takes great picts. touch screen is sensitive enough that you don't have to keep hitting the screen. I would recommend reading the manual, it does help. good signal, never had a a dropped call. love all the apps.
