Me + Ally = LOVE

I am in love with this phone! The sleek design of it is fabulous. The spacing of the Qwerty keyboard fits my fingers perfectly. it is lightweight and fits comfortably in my hand. The touch screen responds rapidly to my touch. It is my first Android phone and using this phone has made my transition to this new technology fairly easy. The only downside is there is no real how to guide. I basically have to learn the different features as I go.
Pros: Style/Design
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've had this puppy for less than a week, and I really like it a LOT!
The only thing I am disappointed about is the operating system. PLEASE allow upgrade to Android 2.2 so I can install Adobe Flash Player!!!
Otherwise... GREAT phone. Thanks, LG!

It took me a full day and by day I mean over 24hrs to get my phone to 100% charged for the 1st time. But after that it charged just fine. I have not been able yet to put personalized ring tones on my phone. Still figuring that out. But overall a good descent phone!

Great Phone

I just got this phone so I am still learning about all of the features. I have to agree that the battery dies quickly, but you just have to charge it every night. My biggest challenge has been using it with a bluetooth device. I have no problem pairing the two items. My challenge has been finding an app that will dial the phone and not require me to touch the phone and verify the number I want to dial. I have been to Verizon for help and called the LG help line both places have told me I can not use this phone completely hands free with my bluetooth. Living in a state that requires using a bluetooth device to talk on your cell phone I was hoping to find an app that would work.
Pros: Style/Design

I just got my Ally and I really love it. I am coming from a blackberry that I hated. Yes it could use a better battery and over all I think it works just fine. I am very pleased with it.

device turning back on
on August 9, 2010

We just got our phones yesterday and are still figuring things out. The one thing we cant figure out is why does the phone turn back on when we plug it in to charge?? We shut them off before we plugged them in and the next thing we know is they are both powering back up. Doesnt make sense to charge a battery with the phone on. Maybe that is why the battery doesnt last long even when you have everything off.

Bluetooth handsfree
on September 6, 2010

I am extremely dissatisfied with the bluetooth handsfree operation. You have to unlock the phone, select the Voice Dial app, say your number and then select the right number from the screen.
Not really hands-free!
My previous LG flip phone handled hands free bluetooth completely via audio queries and responses. What a huge disappointment!
I can not recommend this product to others, because I consider this a serious design flaw.
Pros: Quality

A bargin price.

Although newer, faster android phones where coming out at the time I was looking for an upgrade, I chose that Ally based on its price, and the overall feel of the phone. Compared to other androids, the keyboard is excellent, the placement of the power button is preferred by me, and the touch screen is excellent.
The only thing I noticed is that it takes a little longer to process, which I knew it would be where I bought the phone. I was told to by the droid, but I am happy I chose otherwise.
The features on the phone are easily customized by downloading applications from the market, making the phone a lot better than expected.
Thank you LG for making me stick with you for the third phone in a row.
Pros: easy to use
