I'm a big fan of these throat mics. I bought them to try out for mountain bike riding. I've tried several others, but there was always too much wind and background noise for them to be useful. These throat mics are unbelievably comfortable, and will stay in position for an entire day of flying down mountain bike trails. The best part is that there is no background noise, yet they are extremely sensitive to your speaking voice.
We've used them both in VOX mode and PTT mode, and prefer the PTT mode because there tends to be a few seconds of lag time before VOX mode stops transmitting so others can talk. It's easy to clip the PTT button on the strap of our biking pack, so accessing the button is easy.
We have 6 radios in our group, and these headsets make the whole thing come together.

I bought this about a month ago and instantly loved it. The clarity in communication is amazing! It is very comfortable and easy to forget you’re wearing it. However, that comfort does get a bit compromised on hot days. Now I don’t have much of a neck and I’m a little heavy so this might not be an issue for those of you with longer thin necks without double chins. Lol

I purchased two of the throat mics for my radios. My wife and I are crossing guards at our local high school. We have a very busy street with a wide median between the two traffic directions. Because of the distance between us, the speeds of the vehicles, and students coming from multiple directions and around multiple buildings, we needed something that was hands free and quick to keep our communication open. We were using the hidden earpiece and a mic that came with the radios, but I wanted something else. I ordered the throat mics to try. They pick up our voices much better than the mics on the other sets when on VOX. It’s a lot better now.

I bought this 2 weeks ago for use at swim meets. Some swim sessions a vary long in loud environments. The ear piece of the throat mic is very comfortable even over long periods. You can switch ears if it starts to be uncomfortable. Audio reception and transmission is great.

We had big problem with wind overpowering our voices in just the radios. We picked some of these up and they completely eliminated that issue. So far the have been a must have for the group for clear communication. Highly recommend getting a set to clear up your comms.
