Good but......

Really disappointed with how quickly the printer cartridge needed replacing - means all the good points (like how easy it is to scan, how quick it is to print, how well it picks up double side printing compared to its predecessors, how comact it is etc) get relegated to the back of the mind!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Laserjet m1212nf

This printer took a lot longer to set up than the few minutes you suggest, especially as no printer to computer cable is supplied, but two different power cables were supplied! As you know customers are going to need the cable why would you not supply one? When it was set up it printed well from the CD but would not work with my CAD, I had to download a patch from your web site. My previous laserjet 4L I had had for 20 years never gave a bit of trouble, but still the CAD works now even if it is in a round about way. I have not tried scanning or copying yet I wonder what surprises await me? There is one part which I think should fit at the paper outlet I have not been able to get fitted yet.

A Good Replacement

After trying 2 other HP printers and returning them I thought I would give HP one more try. I wanted to replace an old Laser Multifunction which I have had for 10 years before it did die. I finally bought the Laserjet M1212 nf and could not be happier. The print quality is great and fast. The fax works well and the sheet feeder works as it should (1 sheet at a time rather than grabbing 2 or 3 like one of the other printers I tried) Everything works as it should. A great printer. I do envelopes with it and they print up great--no wrinkles or anything. The only thing that would make this better is a second sheet feeder so I did not have to remove the paper to do my envelopes. I can highly recommend this printer.

Excellent MFP Printer has worst help file ever

I purchased a HP LaserJet Pro M1212nf MFP back in August. All in all, it is an excellent product and would be worthy of 5 stars except for one glaring omission: whenever you search the help file, instead of returning a topic name, it returns "HP Laserjet Professional M1130/M1210 MFP Series"!
As an example, I need to order a cartridge for our HP 1320 so wanted to print a Supplies Report to see if I need to order a cartridge for the M1212nf at the same time.
Searching for "report" returns 14 entries, all of which say exactly the same thing: "HP Laserjet Professional M1130/M1210 MFP Series".
Needless to say, that is useless! Searching for "supplies" returns about 30 identical entries, while searching for "supplies report" returns 2.
Let me contrast this to my HP 1320 help file. Searching for "report" returns 2 items: "Configuration Page" and "Electrical Specifications".
I hope that fixing up the search in the help file is on the agenda for this otherwise excellent printer!
