Big, Bold and Beautiful!

I don’t know if this was crazy or stupid, but we designed our kitchen around this range without having seen it! We could not find any retailer that had a Misty Blue range on the floor, so we ordered the mixer to gauge the color and fell in love. We took a gamble, ordered the range, and designed our kitchen around it. Luckily the risk paid off, and it is stunning! Not only is it beautiful to look at, it is beautiful to cook with! The convection oven bakes like a dream with consistent, even heat. I made cinnamon rolls and they rose and browned perfectly without having to rotate the pan halfway.... same with loaves of bread. I can’t tell you when I’ve ever had so much fun cooking and baking. Thanks KitchenAid!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased the 36" 6 burner dual fuel freestanding commercial range July 2016. Finally put it to the big test on Thanksgiving Day, November 24th. It failed. I was using the oven and the cook-top preparing dinner for 21 and the oven just quit. I turned the oven off, restarted and it began to heat up. Then it quit again. First appointment that warranty could make was December 5. A-Z Service came out and determined I needed a new part caused by using the burners and oven at the same time. That's why I purchased a commercial brand so I wouldn't have to worry. A week later December 14th my oven was fixed. I am now worried about my next big gathering on Christmas.

Burner control dials get too hot

We’ve had the kitchenaid for 9 months now. We recently starting seeing that the burner control dials get extremely hot - too hot to touch - after we use the stove and oven. Even when we shut everything off, the handles remain incredibly hot. Very hazardous!

I have tried to buy American but the electronics remind me of the old Jaguars which were nice to look at but not reliable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this dual fuel counter height oven as a replacement for an old KitchenAid gas cooktop. We reworked an existing farmhouse kitchen to create seating for 6 instead of 2. I'm an avid cook and absolutely love its features, the commercial appearance and it gave my kitchen an additional oven. My favorite feature is the adjustable simmer, which is on 2 of the burners. The oven interior is very spacious. My downsides are minor. I agree with other reviewers that it does take additional time to warm the oven and the cooktop is a bit difficult to get it obsessively clean. Nothing that a microfiber cloth doesn't fix.

Great for Range with Minor Design Quirk.

The burners are excellent and the oven works well. It's a a great looking appliance as well. My only grip is the oven exhaust which vents to the front of the oven instead of top. This ensures that whatever is cooking in the oven vents to the kitchen instead of the exhaust hood on top of the range. Seasoning a cast iron skillet or broiling can fill the kitchen with unpleasant smell.
