I am the clumsiest person in the world. No seriously. I started my day by falling into a mud puddle on my way into work. That being said, my Galaxy S5 flew out my hand and onto the concrete. My Galaxy was fallen from a third floor balcony onto gravel. I have dropped, tossed, thrown, and smashed this phone. And it still looks brand new (outside of the case, that is). All because of my Defender case. I have had this phone and case for over a year. The only reason I'm writing this review is because I'm shopping for a Defender case for my new Galaxy S6 that's about to come in the mail. I have never had an OtterBox before this phone, but there is absolutely no way I will ever get another case. Not with my hand eye coordination and proprioception (or lack thereof).
Conclusion: If you are tough on your phone, purposely or not, get the Defender. It will save your life (i.e. your phone).

My favorite aspect of this amazing cover is the bright orange trim that lets me spot my phone easily whenever I search for it.

I purchased the Otterbox for Samsung S5 so that I could stop carrying it in my left front pocket. This was done because I had a Pacemaker/Defibrillator implanted last Thursday and needed to carry my cell phone somewhere else. Although the unit adds considerably to the weight the trade-off was necessary. I just wish that the belt clip was a little easier to get off the belt when I receive a call.

This is the second Otterbox Defender protector l have purchased for my S5 because it has saved my phone from drop destruction several times. The reason my S5 still works like new is because of my Otterbox. No screen cracks and no case scratches. My phone look as good as new after all these years.

This Otter Case is indestructible. As one who is constantly on the move and sometimes quite the klutz, this cradles my Samsung with hardcore protection... and a little dazzle of pink as the backdrop of the great outdoors. The dual function of the clip/stand is very handy and I couldn't be more pleased with this product. Thank you for taking it from black and drab to pink and fab!
