After leaving my phone on top of my husband's car, and it falling off onto the asphalt at about 45-50 mph, my Otterbox Symmetry had a little road rash, but my iPhone was unharmed. It's still functioning perfectly normally, and I couldn't be more impressed with this company. Thanks, Otterbox!

Within 4 days of purchasing my Symmetry Otterbox Case, the top of the outer rubber section had begun to scratch away. After contacting customer service, I received a brand new case. Within a week, this case has also scratched away in the same section as the last one. Unfortunately my attention to detail is sensitive and I see the scratching and it looks terrible! There is no reason this case should do this, specially within a week! I would understand some wear and tear after having it for a while, but a week!?! Frustrated!
Pros: Durable
Cons: Low quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great to look at but doesn't offer much protection

I was really excited for the floral motif and waited a couple of months for it to finally come out. As soon as I received the email telling me it was ready to hit the market, I ordered it and waited eagerly for it to come.
When it arrived, I was really happy with the look of it. It's very easy to put on, and it fits snugly around my phone. The bright color helps my phone to stand out in my purse, and I've received compliments from friends.
My problem with the case is the plastic material. Other reviewers have mentioned how slippery it is, and they're not kidding. I feel like my phone will slip right out of my hands and shatter on the floor. It will also slide across surfaces as other reviews mentioned. I didn't understand why that was such a big deal but after watching my phone zoom across the table, I understood. It doesn't make sense to me that Otterbox would make a phone case that would need protection from itself.
The rubber lip that extends around the front border of the phone is great. Instead of encasing the sides of the case with the plastic, I feel like that they should have extended the rubber down so it would make for a better grip.
As it is, I'm searching the web for clear adhesive grips to apply to the sides and the back so that I can hold the phone without worrying about dropping it.
Pros: stylish
Cons: Not durable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm not a "review" writer normally but I do read reviews and just wanted to share my thoughts. This was more than I expected, it's like getting a new phone with this purchase. My phone is now my wallet and it feels like I could run over it with my truck and it would be fine. I always have my phone with me but often leave my wallet either in the truck or at home. Now I have my driver license, debit / credit card and a $20.00 bill wherever I go. I love this case, I didn't need a new phone just a new case. Otterbox was worth every penny for me. Thank you, Blane

I love otterbox cases & couldn't wait for this case to come out but was completely disappointed! I thought it would be a thinner version of the defender series but I was very wrong. The description said it has 2 layers but it's really only one. The color looks like it's painted on & was already chipping off when I opened it new in the box! It was cheap looking & cheap feeling. Needless to say il be returning it...
