We have otterboxes for our iPad Minis and they can withstand the use and abuse of our 4-year old twins. I just got this colorful and fun otterbox for my iPhone 5s and love it! I love the fun design and I know my phone has maximum protection. One more thing to check off my Worry List is a good thing.

Give a little bit of Weight to the phone, makes it easier to grip doesn't feel like it will fall out of your hand but still keeping the phone to a small foot print, and adding shock absorption vs thin plastic case.
Would like it if you could upload your own picture for back print don't like the limited prints. Purchased for my daughter would love to have hello kitty from Sanrio on her phone.

I finally, bought my first phone ever three months ago, an i-phone 5s. First, you all should now that I'm am one of the clumsiest people in the world (I fell down the stairs the other day). So, I'm always dropping my phone, but I'm glad that I picked out the otter box symmetry case in denim because, it can withstand a lot. I dropped it off my bunk bed, thrown it across the room, accidentally thrown it on the sidewalk (multiple times, it just flies out of my hand...). My phone is perfectly fine. The cases has barely two or three scratches, but that's presumable. What's also great is that the case is really slender and pretty, unlike the other obese otter box cases. And, it comes in one piece, so its easy to take on and off. I recommend buying a tempered-glass screen protector, to make your phone indestructible, like mine.

I have not dropped or otherwise abused the iPhone 5S since putting this product around the phone. But, since I am unlikely to subject the phone to any violent action, I think it might work fine.
