I like this case because all the openings to my ports are large enough to get my extra wide charging cord plugged in. The one thing that drives me crazy is that the back of the cover does not lie totally flat when I set it down on a hard surface, like my desk for instance. I cannot use my phone with one hand while laying on the table because all it does is spin on the case. It must have some sort of angle or bump out by just a tiny bot to make it not lie flat. I will probably switch to another case because this is how I use my phone all day long at work. :(

I originally bought the Commuter series [which I liked except for two things. 1) the port covers on the bottom of the phone, and 2) I didn't care for the raised edges near the screen.].
My wife and I both have the Symmetry series and we both love it. I have dropped my phone three times (a case of the dropsies) and not a scratch on the phone or the case. I love the feel of the phone, the buttons work great and there are no obstructions for the camera.
The only thing I wish is that the colors were reversed meaning it was mostly Lime with a little Gray (like the Commuter series).

I personally liked the small slim profile that Apple designed the iPhone 5/5S around. There are plenty of cases on the market that protect your phone, some are as tough as breaking into
Fort Knox! I owned the Otterbox Deffender once upon a time and it took a lot of abuse but kept my iPhone pristine! The problem was that I like to pocket my phone and most protective cases are big and bulky.
I ran across the Otterbox Symmetry after making several disappointing case purchases and all I can say is that I absolutely love this case! Otterbox designed this case around the slim profile that Apple designed their case on which keeps the iPhone true to it's design and still offers protection. Fused together, the soft inner shell cradles and cushions the iPhone while the harder outer shell keeps the iPhone feeling solid...as if you didn't have a case on it at all. The case offers a substantial lip around the face of the case so that your screen doesn't touch any surface when you lay the case face down. The case material feels nice to the touch and is made of a softly aggressive material that protects your case from scratches from normal use (I suppose it will scratch if you drag across the pavement...).
All in all, this has been one of the best protective cases I have found that stays true to the iPhone's slim and minimal design. I would definitely recommend this case hands down!

The Otterbox Symmetry is my favorite Otterbox so far. It offers all the protection that the name Otterbox promises, but this case has a slimmer, sleeker profile. It has the look of the fun, trendy cases with the fun designs, but the difference is, this one actually does the job. The open ports work well with cables and headphones, and the button covers are responsive. My only complaint is with the rubber bezel around the screen of the phone-- while the functionality is perfect-- it's a nice raised bezel that provides good screen protection--- the rubber gets dirty looking very easily(mine is purple), and that minor detail just gets on my nerves. Overall though, I definitely recommend this case.
