I have had this case for over two years and it has surprisingly held up much longer than my defender and commuter cases I've had in the past. My phone screen has cracked while in this case but I don't think that's the case's fault.
Wear and tear: After two years, the middle of the design (I got Brazilian Pop) is fading to white and on the front, the black on the sides is peeling. But like I said, it has held up better than other otter boxes I've had for less time.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I NEVER WANTED A OTTERBOX BECAUSE OF THE BULK, BUT I PURCHASED THE SYMMETRY FOR MY IPHONE 5S AND IT IS GREAT!!! IT IS VERY SLIM, AND PROTECT'S THE WHOLE PHONE. WILL BE BUYING THE OTHER COLOR'S WHEN THEY BECOME AVALIBLE.

Prior to the Symmetry, I had a Commuter for just under two years. I thought the Commuter was just a little thicker than necessary, and the covers over the headphone and power jacks could get annoying.
When I heard about the Symmetry, I saw that it addressed both of my issues with the Commuter - thin and no covers over the ports.
So, I have already managed to drop my phone with the Symmetry several times at home and in a parking lot, and I am seeing no damage. Access to the power and headphone jacks without covers is very welcome.
One thing I like about the size of the iPhone 5 series is that it fits in my back pocket, versus many of the HTC and Samsung phones that are too large. Even though the Symmetry is just slightly thinner than a Commuter, it fits even better in to my back pocket.
Another benefit over the Commuter is that the Symmetry is simpler to install around the phone, while the Commuter is a multi-step process. Obviously not a big deal, but definitely an improvement.
I did not receive any screen cover with this case. That was a surprise, because I would swear I did receive a screen cover with the Commuter. I don't see any product information that would indicate you should receive a screen cover, so my fail.
This is not the cheapest cover on the market, but I believe you get a great product at a fair price. I would definitely buy this again, if need be, and would recommend it to anyone that asks.

I purchased this case the day it came out and have been very happy with it. In fact, I bought this color combination and the Black one also. The case offers an excellent combination of Otterbox protection as well as providing a stylish look to my iPhone 5. I have dropped the phone a couple of times and there was absolutely no damage to my phone as well as the case. I would highly recommend it the Otterbox Symmetry!

I'm glad I finally found a slim case that protects as well as this one. This looks great on my phone. I can fit the phone in my back pocket easily with this case and it also fits in my leather belt loop case. Please consider making this case in camo with orange. Thanks for a great case!

From the day I saw this new otterbox being promoted, I knew I had to have it! Let me tell you its great! I've had both the Defender series as well as the Commuter series for the Iphone and this last one for the Iphone 5S just took the cake! I love the Symmetry, slim, sturdy and very capable of protecting my phone! My recommendation when you purchase this cover is to get the glass protection as well! You can't go wrong with this protect!
