Good Printer

Not sure why others seem to have problems--I unpacked this printer and plugged it in and started printing. It does a great job and was not difficult to set up and is not loud. No, I don't work for Canon, just have a lot of Canon products because they work fine.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bad experience

It is not easy to setup the driver and wireless connection. Especially on Win8. I spent 3 hrs try to get a pdf printed from my iphone with a canon mobile printing app. But I failed.

Worst purchase ever

fist of all getting the printer and laptop synched together was a huge hassle. then finally when im able to hook it up there is no mirror imgae option. wich I believe is standard on any printer

It's so loud!

We are a small business and use this printer in the office. The first one we had worked well. We did not have as much trouble as other people setting it up but we also called our IT guy to do it so we maybe it's more difficult than necessary and we weren't aware. The quality of the print is fine. It does take a while to begin and then continues "whirring" for about 1 minute after the print job is complete. It's so bad that you think it's prepping to do another job. It seems like we go through ink a lot quicker than we did with our previous printer, but perhaps we are just printing more. After a couple of months the printer would make LOUD noises. It got to the point where we had to close our office door because it was so embarrassing as customer's came through the store. We then started to get pink streaks on the paper. The noise got so bad that we had to get another printer. The company we work with gave us this printer again, stating that the one we had must've been faulty because he has other customers that use it and have no problem. Well we got the new printer, set it up, and after printing the first 10 pieces of paper it started making the same noise. It was like nothing changed. Then with the new printer the magenta streaks are even worse when we print using color. I know Canon makes great products but we struck out with this printer.
