I've had a ge profile fridge for about 5 years now as a hand me down and it has been great. i updated to this new french door profile due to the features.

We've just replaced our side-by-side with this gorgeous fridge! LOVE IT! So much space, I still haven't figured out how I like things arranged. Lots of light. Easy access everywhere!

Well lit interior with led lighting. Disappointed in that top shelves have enough room to go up a few inches, but the adjustable shelve notches end too soon. I do like that it has two ice makers, one in the door and one in the freezer drawer. You have to open the freezer drawer and hand pick ice from this 2nd ice maker. Both ice makers or just one of your choice can be turned off or on. The freezer although appears very large, I learned it cannot be filled up too high, as the drawer won't close.
My wife chose this one over the other brands only because it has a shinier finish than the other brands.

Enjoy all through the door features. Well built and solid door closing. No need to worry about crack in the door. Warning chimes, etc. are distinct and appropriately loud. Glad we bought.

Very nice but noisy

we just received our new GE replacing an ancient GE that just would never die. So we love this model but were not aware of one of 2 things - either just how quiet our old model was or just how loud this model is....the ever present whirr and whine can be heard from the den and living room; its just there and constant. I can differeentiate when the compressors kick in and that noise is pretty standard. Does this low decibal hum, whirr or whine ever stop? i mean we love everything about the refrigerator but surprised that the hum is constant and loud in comparispon with our other refrigerators (we have another GE in the laundry room
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
