Monster Size Fridge with all bells and whistles

I do like this unit but problems started upon delivery. The doors were removed to allow entry into a 36 inch wide door. Then once they were reinstalled, they were not aligned and the tech had to install a red rubber washer to fix that problem. The red washer is highly visible. Also, the unit's interior lights stopped working and the refrigeration shut off suddenly despite the unit's exterior lights still being lit. The interior temperature dropped and customer service was called. They tried every imaginable fix until I just unplugged the unit and replugged it back into the outlet. Then it started up back to normal. Now I worry that it will happen again. Customer service says it is just a glitch.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Lots of space!

This is the best refrigerator I have owned! However- beware of the drip out of the water spout- I ran three gallons of water out and the drip stopped- must have been air in the line- so first thing- run three gallons out! Nice and quiet! Looks great!

Overall, we are very pleased with this refrigerator. Our only concern is that when running it is louder than our previous model. The storage space is amazing.

Loudest fridge I ever had!!

Got this fridge last week. Never thought it would be louder than the 13 year old appliance it replaced. Very annoying to be able to hear it running at the other end of the house in the middle of the night. Consumer Reports rated "noise" as "excellent" in their ratings system?? Maybe they thought the louder the better?? Maybe the service technician can lower the noise somehow, I hope. Unless I want to pay a 20% restocking fee, I'm stuck with it.

Update to my previous review

Wanted to post an update since my last review. I've had a service technician look at the appliance and was told the fresh food fan was bad and needed replacement. Also, ice crystals were forming in the freezer compartment and the appliance seemed to be running more than an "energy star rated" appliance should. After replacing the bad fan and adjusting the freezer door, I'm happy to say that it's running much quieter than it was. Although not as quiet as I'd like, it's at least bearable now. Also, the ice crystals are gone and it's running much less. I've upgraded my rating to 4 stars since I should never have had to call for service on a 3 week old appliance.

It is a great refrigerator - space. lighting, features, appearance, BUT we did have some issues requiring service. There was an issue with the refrigerator getting too cold and freezing some items, especially produce. The good news is they were very attentive and professional and while it did take a few visits to fully correct the issue, we were fairly reimbursed for food loss and even had our warranty extended for four months. It is just as important to know how a company will handle things when things don't go right as when they do. Overall they have more than redeemed themselves!
I would recommend this to a friend!
