First impressions

After extensive research we settled on this model refrigerator. It was delivered and installed yesterday, so my review is only on first impressions. First, it is huge! Great storage, but a real bear to get into the house. The delivery crew had to remove the doors and both the refrigerator and my house. Now that it is in it looks great! I have a few early concerns that I will update as I live with the product. For example: this unit is LOUD, much more so than the 13 year-old model that I got rid of. If you have an open concept home it could be annoying. Also, the LED lights inside the unit seem to put off quite a bit of heat. Seems counterproductive in a cooling unit, but it may have been due to shipping/delivery/set up. We'll see how if that changes. Finally, I didn't notice while shopping, but the refrigerator is really a black unit with stainless doors. I like that this leaves the sides magnetic, but it seems a bit chintzy. This may be common and I just hadn't noticed before.

We liked this product, I was concerned because several reviewers complained it was noisy but have not found this to be true. We only gave this product three stars because e bought this product 2 months ago and now the ice cream is melting in the freezer. It is another example of the more hi-tech features, the more opportunities for equipment failure.

THE FRIG IS PRETTY, BUT THAT'S ALL!

The refrigerator is nice looking and has nice features, but it's very loud. We decided to replace our old refrigerator because it was loud. Instead we got another loud one with lot more money! Will not buy GE again.

Noisy Refrigerator

Really like so many of the features (veggies stay fresher longer and love the displays. However, it is VERY noisy! It sometimes sounds like an airplane is landing! Also, when you use the ice dispenser, ice goes everywhere - especially on crushed cycle.

I bought this refrigerator five months ago and have had sporadic problems with it. The temperature is always high, alarms don't work and have to keep checking settings and re doing them. I would not spend this much again for a GE appliance again as I expect it to last longer and not have continuous problems.

Product was delivered and installed on 7/1/2014. Just made my 3rd service call. Product is noisy, does not cool, LEDs don't work, and water dispenser doesn't work. Did I mention it was noisy? Product quality is dismal.

Overall ok but fan died within 3 months

We like the fridge. Nice set up, lots of good usable space. Door shelves are a little too small. Fan stopped working in fridge after only 3 months so everything in our fridge for ruined. Fridge was not cold for 4 days before it mysteriously started cooking again. Service tech took an entire week to come fix it... Fan had to be replaced.
