This one is working good so far. They replaced the one we bought last year under warranty. It was the same series with identical features.

Enjoy new features

Bought this unit 4 months ago. Had an issue with cooling after 2 months so called service. Technician found that the fan in the freezer had come unplugged. Probably loose from factory. Since then have had no issues. Having two ice makers is really nice. Lighting inside unit is great. We still have our original GE Profile that is 27 years old. If new one last half that long will be pleased

Pros and Cons

We replaced an 5 year old refrigerator with this newest GE product. While it is a beautifully designed, spacious refrigerator, some areas fell short. Pros: lots of space, shelves, and door shelves that can hold a gallon of milk and higher profile products. It has two ice makers, one in the door, and one in the freezer. The freezer is quite large, with a second drawer for smaller items, and a pull out shelf for smaller frozen products. The computerized monitor on the front is easy to use, and allows you to store photos which is unique. Cons: We have yet to find a container that will correctly fill with the auto fill dispenser. So far I have used clear plastic and glass pitchers, and it hasn't worked as advertised . The inside of the frig must be a bit shorter in height, as you have to reconfigure the height of the shelves to be able to accommodate slightly taller bottles of juice, and found the slide shelf not much help due to the design. The biggest disappoint by far is the noise that this refrigerator makes. When it fills the ice maker, it has an extremely loud water pressure sound and shut off. The compressor and fans are both loud enough that you can hear them even with the tv on, and my refrigerator is is a very large kitchen/family room area. I did have service on the noise of this unit, which they installed a product that was supposed to insulate some of the sound, but found no difference.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Sweet fridge

I'm very happy with my GE Profile refrigerator. It has actually reduced my electric bills by 20%. It's huge, and really nice. We love the lower freezer drawer and the French door top. The water dispenser is really impressive with exact fills and a cool display. I'm glad I got it, and wish I would have done it sooner.

Tone of storage space!

This refrigerator has so much room and so many features to love including a top and bottom ice maker, precision fill, and more. We have always had good luck with GE. When we sold our home in August, the new owners negotiated and wanted our GE Profile refrigerator included in the sale. So we had to get another!
