Very functional and time-saving features

Everything about this refrigerator is exceptional. I especially like the inside layout which makes accessing food items easy. My only minor concern is with the coffee maker. It does not work as well as I'd like with reusable coffee pods.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Breaks Yearly Causes Headaches and Food Spoilage

Unfortunately, I have not a good experience with fridge. It breaks annually, and we lost lots of food as a result. As of the writing of this review, it is our third major break. First was the circuit board fan; second was a couplet of some kind; third is a compressor. A total melt down each time with the ice melting all over until we figured it out. Luckily, someone was home to notice and mopped the water off our wood floors before damage. Each repair is at least a week of delay for parts to show up. Our little backup fridge in the garage that is 15 years old has saved the day. I wanted to like this fridge, and it is great when it works. I have no confidence it will last past the 5 year warranty, so I would expect to have to replace it in 5 years plus one day.
Know what you are getting...Buyer Beware! Tip: don't put the fridge on floors that ruin with water. When it breaks, the ice melts and goes all over the floor. Put a water pan or plastic underneath it to be safe. The warranty does not cover any damage outside the fridge.

leak that just won't go away

GE has been here 9 times and not only is the leak from the door not stopped they managed to nick a hole in the water line in the back and denied it was happening which I finally fixed myself. door leak still occurring and was supposed to get a call 2 weeks go which did not happen!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great features

Love the refrigerator with the Keurig. Didn’t initially order this model but the one I ordered had been discontinued so it was replaced with this. It does take a bit to heat the water but I use the app on my phone to start the process. I haven’t noticed it being noisy at all. Love it.

Compressor and both condensers died on the unit right after warranty ran out. Unit also had issues with evaporator fan. Not a big fan of GE anymore.

Don’t buy or get an extended warranty.

Have had for 2 years 2 months now and the Keurig K cup coffee maker has yet to work correctly more than 1 time in a row. It typically sprays hot water out and down the doors onto the floor or errors out and freezes the control panel. I have had repairmen here for the last 6 months trying to fix it and replacing every part snd still have my waterfall. I have scratches all over the doors now from the repairmen coming so many that’s a big plus!
The ice maker, compressor, internal fan, circuit board and the coffee maker have all been replaced during year 2. This refrigerator has a 1 year warranty and if you don’t have an extended warranty GE will not repair these without charging you for them even if the problem is on going as I have tried but get no where with their consumer relations department and all they want to do is sell me another refrigerator as they could care less about the consumer or the appliances they sell. So now I am stuck with a refrigerator that will have to repaired until the extended warranty runs out then it will be replaced with another brand name as this is just a complete joke.

Awesome Appliance!

This is a great appliance. We have had this product for a week now. It runs very efficiently.
So everybody knows, this is a loud appliance when it first is cooling and when it has to cool after being open a lot. This is normal and does not happen once the unit gets to the desired temperature.
The ice dispenser is great too! Plenty of ice from the top or bottom dispensers. I have read a lot of reviews that say this is a problem. I have a wife and 2 kids and we use a lot of ice and never have problems with not having enough.
Again, this a wonderful appliance and I would greatly encourage anyone in the market for a refrigerator to consider this model.
I would recommend this to a friend!
