I bought this refrigerator and within a month, the auto fill feature did not work. A serviceman came out to take a look. It worked for a week after and is not working again. It is not worth the price if custom features do not work.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is my second GE Profile refrigerator. The first one was great. We had no issues other than the ice maker tray had to be replaced, but that was due to wear/tear. The newest refrig is the French door style with the freezer on the bottom. The water dispenser does not work. I have water pressure, but water will not dispense. Secondly, the door switch that turns on/off the interior lights is stuck in the engaged position. I can wiggle it free, but the interior lights now done NOT come on when I open the door. I not happy. What this means is I will have arrange for a service call, time off from work and hang around during a 4 hour window waiting for the service man to arrive, blah, blah. And more than likely he/she will not have the parts on his/her truck to fix the problem, so I will have to schedule another appointment for a another repair visit. It goes on and on from there.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very Convenient Refrigerator

I've only had this refrigerator one day but here is my estimation so far. This refrigerator has everything I needed. The freezer is so much larger than the one in my old side by side. The ice/water dispenser is amazing! It has auto-fill and precise fill. It also has a pull out shelf for larger pitchers. I love the display and I can fill my water pitcher for my Bunn coffee maker, put in the ounces and not have to worry about the water overflowing like it did when I used my osmosis. So I don't have to stand there and monitor it. I like that it has LED lighting on the inside. I love the three different areas for meats/ vegetables. The Deli drawer has an adjustable divider in it so you can put cheeses on one side and meats on the other. The Freezer has a pull out drawer inside to hold my Lean Cuisines, frozen spinach pizzas and other boxed items. I like that this keeps those items separate from the meats. I did have problems with some of the taller items but was able to fit those into the door shelf and put the shorter items elsewhere. There are two options for the ice makers. You can turn on the one in the door and the one in the freezer or you can just use the one in the door. Overall, I feel this refrigerator offers a lot, especially for the price point.
