Disappointment!

This refrigerator came with the house that we bought and we ran into a couple of problems or issues with it. First was the changing the water filter - that was a supreme task. We ended up having to get a repairman to come out here and replace a couple boards, circuit boards in the refrigerator. Now in the past few days, the refrigerator part of the refrigerator is not keeping it cool the bottom freezer is just fine but they are but the refrigerator part is not working so I do not recommend this refrigerator.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bad quality product, very very loud noises

Brand new refrigerator started making loud noises coming out of the compressor half an hour after delivery. Could not sleep all night. Looks like GE has has lots of problems with this issue and this model is a big disappointment

Poor cooler and ice making machine, too small for the family. Water never cools and the ice maker runs out of ice every 2 servings

In less than 30 days after purchasing the product a hose burst and sprayed hot water all over the internal electronics.

A fridge that makes a dummy like me look good!!!

I'm in my early seventies and relatively alert and functional except for knowing the marvels of this "electronic world." Our new fridge is delightfully made for me with very easy to follow setting instructions and then lighted buttons that react. I especially love the programing of how much water (in ounces) to dispense in a glass. The roominess, size of shelves, and sleek lines fit into our all GE appliance kitchen. Compared to a TV remote programming it is like going from a pond to an ocean. The added bonus of being made in the fourteenth largest city in the USA, where our son and his family live, makes me feel real proud to be supporting our own economy instead of letting our dollars flow overseas.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The refrigerator has never worked properly. In all reality, I think I should be giving a full refund or at least someone out here to fix it correctly!

Had to be replaced

Freezer would not hold the temperature. After 3 attempts to repair the unit it had to be replaced. We went with the standard depth vs counter depth of this one. 5 weeks and not issues with the replacement
