Breaks down every three months

Fridge has stopped cooling three times in the span of 9 months. I’ve scheduled GE technicians to fix it every time, only to have it work for three months before it breaks again. Today is the third time it stopped working. I’m tired of replacing my food every three months. I’m tired of being without a working fridge.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love everything about it

Initially, i like the non fingerprint refrigerator, but, the features on this one supersedes that initial liking. Classic french door design, simple, spacious and functional. You can even upload photos to have a slideshow. It has all the bells and whistles of what i want.

Refrigerator doesn’t cool.

Refrigerator portion keeps freezing the evaporator portion. We have changed mother board, evaporator fan, and other parts. No solution offered by GE. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!only lasted 3 years.

Fridge stopped cooling...internal temp of 62*

Installed fridge 8/1/15, so almost 6 years. The fridge has stopped cooling and I have an internal temperature of 62 degrees according to the control pad! If the machine knows the internal temperature, why doesn't it sound an alarm like when the door is left open for too long or the expensive water filter needs to be changed? At least I could have moved items to the garage fridge. The fridge has ONE job...keep things cold! I don't care about wifi, pictures, etc. I just don't want to get food poisoning from bad food. I don't know how long it was before we noticed that it wasn't cooling correctly, but what's crazy is that the deli/veg drawers and ice maker in the door still work and made ice chips on my deli ham and froze a couple eggs when I set the deli drawer to 34 degrees! (thought by turning the temp down, it might help the internal temp of the fridge). Very disappointed that this fridge is only 6 years old and this happened. My parents have a fridge that's 30 years old in their garage that still works fine. A repair guy is coming today to look at it. NOT HAPPY!!

Super Great Reliability and Operation

The Design is very useful for a family and ease of access to all compartments. Stop cooling top part or fridge and i would like to get the most normally replaced parts to bring it back to normal. Freezer is cooler than normal. Top part get ice in the crisper drawers and some water.

Worst refrigerator ever

Reading other people's review looks like everyone's product is having problem after five years having it and mine is doing same thing. This isn't cheap refrigerator so I expected to last longer than five years. All of my GE Appliance at my home is having problem and I am guessing they are only good for five years.

its ok

It is definitely louder than the LG I had to replace due to power surge from recent storm. The keurig is a pretty useless add on feature as you have to babysit the machine to get it to heat up and then tell it to dispense the coffee.

Nice but a Maintenance Nightmare

I like my frig. but boy oh boy for you less handy users out there, keep that extra warranty going. My refrigerator has four electric fans in it and at any time one of those can just stop working, not to mention temperature probes malfunction too, unbelievable. So far, I needed to replace two fans. I do all of the work myself, can you imagine calling a repairman every year or two years? Do you see my point, my mom & dad's lasted for 25 Plus and they only bought a new one because they changed the color of the kitchen. That's a big difference between the old tech. and the new tech. More gadget options translate to more repairs. Still, we all like ice and filtered water right in front of us without even opening a door, so what's an owner to do?
