Enjoying This Refrigerator

Overall I like this refrigerator. It took some getting used to some of the features as this is my first French Door fridge and it is laid out differently from my side by side GE Profile purchased in 1993. I just hope this model lasts as long as the old one. I was very interested in the Keurig on the door as I don't want another appliance sitting around. We enjoy it, but it is slow heating up and can have a mind of its own from time to time so far as working properly. Our biggest disappointment with the Keurig is that the fridge models are not designed to accept a reusable K-Pod; our budget would really appreciate being able to fill our own pods. I am also disappointed with the shallow nature of the door trays on the left side--hard to even put a large bottle of salad dressing in there. The refrigerator runs very quietly and I believe it is more efficient than the 1993 model.

Defective product with features and quality

I like the feature to provide hot water and brew coffee or tea. However, I'm forced to take the K-cup out after EACH brew after have a cup of coffee or hot water. This is stupid because I may like the light taste of the tea so that I brew the same cup for the 2nd time or I only want hot water. I should be allowed to get hot water without mounting and removing the K-cup removable fixture for every cup.
The refrigerator looks nice in general but lacks quality control on manufacturing details. There is a layer of blue plastic protector over the stainless steel. It's nice to have it until being delivered to customer to avoid cosmetic damage. However, the blue protector of my refrigerator is clamped into the fixed parts so that it cannot be removed completely. There is blue residual on the surface near edges of some feature, really making the refrigerator look bad. It is easy to improve it during manufacturing but unfortunately GE didn't do it!
There is also residual of tape on the surface. This can be improved by using the right tape adhesive over the stainless steel surface but GE doesn't reach the high quality.

I Love this refrigerator so much!

I have had my refrigerator a couple of months now. And, yes, it cost more than my first car! But I love it so much. It looks great. Very sleek and modern lines. The inside design of the refrigerator and freezer is well thought-out for how a consumer wants to use a refrigerator. The independent control zones for meat, beverages, deli, fruit & veggies is so on point! Also the easily adjustable shelving is so awesome for storing that's giant "whatever" you bring home from the grocery. The freezer is huge. I can't fill it! I never had freezer room before this refrigerator. Of course, I love the beverage and ice options. Cold water, cubed ice, crushed ice, and the Kerrigan works so well! There is an app that goes with it and I can heat my water up from upstairs in the morning and from my car on the way home. The technology in this refrigerator is impressive, etc so easy to use. Keep up the good work GE!

Horrible

Within 8months a fan went out and we had to pay to get it fixed. Now at 2 years another fan is out. Has been a horrible purchase. No more GE appliances for us!

Great features, but needs a bigger ice maker.

I love my new refrigerator. The only thing I think needs improvement is the amount of ice that is made. We only have 3 people in the home and it can not keep up with us. I have to buy ice to keep in the freezer
