Freezer door and gasket were not properly aligned causing ice crystals to form and loosing my freezer food and having to get a loaner.(after several calls to vendor).......and then the loaner went belly up.....and then the second loaner.......not able to replace with another GE fridge as I needed specific measurements for my fridge area ..and workmanship in the quality was inferior...so I canceled and was able to replace w/another brand.....ta-dah.all is good now!! and so am I.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This appliance has come to be a very useful and neat article on my kitchen. From its clearly polished finish to its high efficiency its an all around product. Great cooling system and not too noisy fans or compressors. Highly recommended for its price.

Our fridge looks great and works perfectly. I just have to move some shelves around to fit some taller things (i.e. Britta), but that is easy enough to do. We love the bottom freezer feature. We are in the fridge most of the time anyway so it's nice not having to bend down all the time to get to our fruit! Has a separate spot for our milk, which is nice - you don't see that all the time. Will definitely buy another GE product in the future!

Cheap and bad design

Emergency purchase as our GE Profile died after 9 yrs ! Less organization than the profile in fridge and freezer prompting me to go out and buys bins esp for freezer to help with that. The crisper drawers are VERY cheap and one cracked after 2 days of use. Can't open the freezer door in order to pull out basket because door must be opened fully for clearance of the bin and not possible if you have any kind of a wall that it opens near. So will have to get on knees to rummage thru to find stuff. The ice cubes fall backside of bin if you just wiggle it which then drops to the floor of the freezer which I can't a access because I can't pull out the bin to to door clearance issue. Wish I had my drawer freezer back. When opening either doors, upon closing , causes the other door to briefly pop open which one would think takes away from energy efficiency. I was told this is normal. I have never in my 57 yrs, experienced a fridge that did this at other peoples homes or vacation travels with kitchens ! Also noisier than last GE .Overall not impressed by this purchase and have much buyer regret. This was the only bottom freezer available at the store at the time and this was an emerg purchase so couldn't shop around. Deeply regret this purchase. Was also told most appliance only last 8-10 yrs so didn't want to spend fortune and only certain size fits my cabinet space.

Very sleek loom however very deep and it juts out more then the cabinets in my kitchen.
