I have personally used Otter Box Defender Series cases for my iPhones since they came out. This purchase was for my 11 year old daughter who tends to drop her phone at least once a day. This is her second case for her phone. The last one was also a defender, however, the round opening on the back gave her something to pick at and she eventually had the material separated from the case in a 'non-cool' way. This case is solid on the back and of course also has a cool pattern for a hunter. She has never cracked a phone or even caused any damage to a phone at all with defender protection. I very highly recommend this product for anyone who would rather not deal with damage to their phone. It is a bit bulky but that is easy to get over after the 10th drop of the phone and everything is still in perfect shape inside the case!
