Solid protection without too much bulk. I tried several cases on my last iPhone and settled on the commuter as my favorite. For my new 6s I ordered one before I had my phone. The silicone sleeve protects from drops and the hard outer case is like having armor plating. The case is slick enough that it easily slips in and out of my pocket but there is just enough silicone around the outside and front that it stays in place. Additionally the case thickness protects the camera lens that protrudes from the back of the phone.

This case is perfect compromise between the ultra protective defender and the lower protection of other cases. It leaves the screen, home button, and silence switch uncovered for easy access and natural feel, but protects the edges and back beautifully. Also, by choosing separate colors for the shell and the soft liner, it looks great. The port covers are easy to open, and they stay closed when not in use. Overall, the best iPhone cover I've used.

I had high hopes for this product. However, after a week of use, the card slot was still impossible to slide open and closed without putting my whole upper body into forcing it shut and prying it open. (It locks into place/snaps shut too much.) Furthermore, the case just didn't fit quite right. The soft plastic that went inside the case was too big. I was very disappointed, especially considering how expensive the case was.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Dear Otterbox team.... you need to provide a way to comment and/or respond to reviews or posts, especially when YOU (the OB team) comments on a reviewer's (i.e. "my") review.... it would be more fitting to read the following there, rather than in a new review, IMHO.

you guys are awesome. I posted a review on Nov 6 (See "First "real" complaint, I've had") re: the Defender Series Case and gave you guys 3 stars. You responded to my review on Nov 7, and told me to follow up with a phone call to get things straightened out.

I must say, I had my doubts, because I honestly saw the pillowing of the protective screen as a design flaw, and that a replacement part just have the same problem.
Well... did I mention you guys are awesome? I received the replacement inner case,, and immediately noticed the difference when I swapped it out with my existing case. there is NO pillowing. I'm thinking you guys might have experienced a bad production run... as I noticed that many of the reviews complained about the same issue (pillowing of the protective screen).
Nonetheless, and not because my faith needed any renewing, but you've.... justified (yeah, thats better than "renewing") ... my faith in your product, company and customer service.
Bravo, OB... Bravo! You guys .... are awesome!

I absolutely love my OtterBox cover; it gives me confidence when using my phone. It stays in my hand and I don't worry about dropping it. The colours are great too. There were only black and grey in the UK so I ordered from the US and the customer service was excellent, with delivery only three days.

This is my second Otterbox. First one still works great on my android phone. I purchased this one for IPhone 6. I have dropped first one several times not a problem. I would never buy another phone protector. Our whole family uses Otterbox. Otterbox is the best made phone case on the market. Sturdy,easy to grip and lots of great color combinations. I really like the new screen shield that is built into the case. So much easier than trying to apply directly to phone front.
