I have had Otterbox Defenders on all my iPhones. My current case has lasted well and protects my iPhone as advertised. The weak link is the holster it broke after 20 months. However, I have no complaints a great product well supported.

I bought this case I believe 3 years ago and only one piece has broken (the outside hard, thin connector on the headphone jack. The silicone sides are stretched out a bit but that's partly on me. But overall an amazing case I have dropped my phone countless times and it's never cracked (without a screen protector) while I did have a defender series case I didn't get the same result. With the commuter case it's less cold sensitive my phone cracked in my defender when I took it out of my pocket on a cold day. Commuters are less insulated with the bulk and yet still so protected with the bezel and hard outer shell.
I would recommend this to a friend!

it's not as strong as the one i had on my last phone. the openings for inputs (charging and earphones) are inconvenient and getting the inputs in is difficult. and getting the outside piece to fit properly took a concerted effort on my part, as it didn't seal properly by sliding onto the inside piece.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
