Nice item - and definitely well built / engineered

Verified Purchase:Yes
First impression was that the "instructions sheet" was too simplistic; as the black rubber like edging was EXTREMELY difficult to separate from the blue primary housing unit. This step is essential so that the unit can be separated to insert the 6s iPhone.
After about5 30 minutes of tugging and looking and tugging - I finally was able to separate and complete the install.
The second issue - a NOTE at the POINT OF SALE should CLEARLY indicate that this unit does not function smoothly and efficiently if you have a protective screen adhered on the screen.
I love the protection that this case gives. I was afraid it would be too bulky, but it's not. What i dislike about it is the built in screen protector reduces the screen sensitivity. When i text I'm constantly missing letters and have to go back and type them again. The same thing when i navigate through my phone in general. I find myself having to constantly tap my screen again because it didn't pick up the first time. It has become really annoying to the point where i want to take the phone out of the case, but i really like the protection it provides.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hi Ruedy!
Our apologies that your built-in screen protector is giving your fingers a workout! Here at OtterBox, we don't think you should have to sacrifice protection in order to send a simple message. It sounds like that integrated screen protector is sitting a little higher above your touchscreen than we would normally prefer, and we would love to rectify the situation by sending a replacement case. Please feel welcome to ring up our playful Otters at 1-855-688-7269, and they'll dive right into a warranty claim! You'll be texting with ease before you know it!
Since I purchased my first I-Phone 4 I have used Otterbox to protect my investment. It has proven time again the quality and craftsmanship that keeps me coming back each time I upgrade to a new phone.
This Holster is no more reliable than the original, which came off of my belt a number of times, that I bought about the whole Defender Rugged Protection package. the spur that is Suppose to keep secure from slipping off of belt finally, the last time it came off my belt, stepping out of car, landed on the end and broke the spur off. I have bought & paid for this new Holster HOPING it will secure over belt better. It has slipped off twice in about 10 days. At work I keep iPhone in top left pocket of safety vest, NOT in holster on my belt.

I bought the Defender series shell for my wife's iPhone 6 because she has a talent for dropping, abusing, and otherwise destroying phones. Her first Defender case lasted over two years before she finally cracked and then broke the hard shell. The good news: the phone inside was completely unharmed. Since she plans to keep using her iPhone 6 a while longer, I bought her a new shell in the same color scheme, and she couldn't be happier.
One flaw of the Defender case for iPhone 6 — the opening for the headphone jack is misaligned, meaning it needs to be propped open to use earbuds. Also, the shell makes it impossible to use my PayPal credit-card reader — the shell prevents the device from jacking into the phone.
I am a new I Phone user, first cell phone !!! I heard all the horror stories about dropping the phone so I wanted the best protector. So far I haven't dropped it, but if I do (which is likely as I'm a Klutz ) I am sure the phone is protected.
